What “one-click create” means
One-click create is the easiest way to make a short video on Trending.com. You do not need a timeline editor, After Effects, or video production experience.
You can type a topic, or leave it blank and let us decide. Then press start and we handle the busy work for you.
Start with an idea from the homepage
Explore examples such as impossible weather, giant pets, tiny worlds, and pet album covers. Hover over a video for a short silent preview, or tap an example to see it in full.
Choose a subject, setting, or style, then select Make my video or Make my image. We keep your choices through signup and prepare the prompt for you. You can edit it and review the credit cost before creating.
These short video ideas create a six-second vertical clip with sound. Image ideas open the image creator, where you can add your own reference photo. These creations use credits separately from the free daily guided video. Results are new variations and can differ from the example.
When reviewed posts from YouTube, TikTok, or Reddit are available, you can also explore ideas inspired by those originals. Their displayed popularity is what was observed on the given date, rather than a live counter. Original posts and examples made with Trending.com are labeled separately.
Short generated clips and optional Story slide animations show their credit cost before you start. Clips made from images include the image inputs in that price. Story animation keeps your existing narration and music. Your selected starting and ending images can guide the motion.
Find your next idea in the dashboard
Open Trending Ideas to browse video, image, and story ideas by category. Hover over a video or tap its play button for a preview. Select Explore ideas to open the full example and its variations. Choose Create now to review the cost and confirm, or Create custom to edit the prepared prompt. Researched ideas include their supporting facts and sources. Close the preview to return to the same place in the gallery.
To start from scratch, choose Create a video or Create an image. A short AI video can start from your words alone: no image or narration is required. You can also use an image to guide the scene. Choose a model, length, quality and shape, then review the displayed credit cost before creating.
Choose a video model and review the cost
In Create images & videos, start with your description and the basic options. Choose Grok, MiniMax H3, or MiniMax H3 Max. The available lengths, quality choices and image limits update for the selected model. Higher quality and longer clips use more credits. You can save your usual choice under Default video model in Account Settings.
Open Add images if you want to guide the scene. Reference images help with people, objects or style. A first-frame or last-frame image sets how the clip starts or ends; choose this separately from reference images. You can upload images or use your saved images. The form explains the supported file sizes and dimensions.
The Credit estimate shows the video cost, each image’s added credits, and the total. Included images show zero credits; extra images can increase the total. Uploading images and changing options do not spend credits. Credits are reserved when you create and returned if generation fails.
Open Advanced options for motion suggestions and any extra controls the model supports. Grok offers sound on or off. MiniMax includes sound automatically; H3 Max can also help expand your description. These controls have no separate charge. With MiniMax first/last frames, the video shape follows your image.
Your saved model choice applies to this video creator. Prepared homepage examples and complete narrated Shorts keep their own settings. Always review the displayed total before you create.
Plan a short video step by step
For a video idea, choose Plan it step by step, or select Help me plan this video in the creator. Add characters, a setting, or other changes. Review the displayed planning cost before selecting Prepare my plan.
Review the setup, action, and ending, then choose Use this plan. You can create the clip from that prompt or optionally generate a starting image. Review the image and choose whether to use it. A starting image is saved to My Library even if you decide not to use it in the clip.
The plan leaves room for movement and gives the ending time to land. Check that faces and the main action fit in the opening frame before approving it.
When a generated clip includes sound, Trending checks for missing or very quiet audio. Any warning appears with the clip in the creator and My Library. The original stays available, and the check never regenerates it or triggers another generation charge. Clips requested without sound do not need this check. Even when the audio level passes, watch and listen before posting; this check does not judge the story or visuals.
Planning, an optional image, and the final video have separate credit costs, each shown before you confirm. Opening an idea or approving a plan does not generate or charge for the next step. These clips are different from complete Shorts, which combine a story or facts with narration, captions, and visuals.

What happens automatically
- We can choose a topic if you leave the topic blank.
- We write the script.
- We create the voice and captions when the format uses narration.
- We choose or arrange supporting visuals for the format.
- We prepare a title and description suggestion.
- We render the final vertical video when you choose a full render.
Where you see progress
After you start one-click create, we send you to My Library. You will see:
- What step is happening now
- An estimated progress bar
- An estimated time, usually around 10 minutes
- A warning if the video is taking longer than normal
- An Open action so you can continue editing later
My Library also includes a Create images & videos page where you can make reusable images and short videos from your own prompts, reference images, and saved library items. Finished videos are saved automatically for Ranking clips and backgrounds. Images can become Story slides, character references, or the starting point for another creation. Put saved clips in a folder to use them with one-click creation. Reusing an asset does not generate or charge for it again; new generation and rendering still use credits.
Dashboard alerts
The dashboard also has an Alerts bell so you do not have to keep refreshing My Library.
Alerts can tell you:
- when your preview is ready
- when your final render is ready
- if something needs your attention
- where to click next
Alerts clear when you open the matching item.
What you can change (optional)
One-click create is available in dashboard Simple mode.
Pick a video format from the Simple-mode list, then use the create card for that format.
If you want more control later, switch to Custom mode for the step-by-step version. You still do not need a traditional editor.
To keep it truly one click, optional settings stay hidden at first. Click Options if you want to change something.
Examples of options you may see:
- Topic / idea (optional)
- Voice (optional, for narrated videos)
- Music (optional, for narrated videos except Ranking) — choose from a modal with search, mood filters, favorites, and upload.
- Story style (optional, for Story and DM Story)
- Reuse previous characters (optional, for Story) — continue the story, make a similar story, or make a new story with the same characters.
- Number of slides (optional, for Story)
- Preview only (optional)
You will also see an Estimated cost before you start. The quote includes the selected creation steps, such as images, narration, generated titles and descriptions, and the final render. Your plan determines how many credits you receive. Opening an idea or reviewing its cost does not spend credits.
Narration credits depend on the amount of text being spoken. The estimate uses a typical script length until your script is ready. In Custom mode, the narration button shows the estimate for your saved script. You can keep using your saved voices and adjust the speed after generation.
Create confirmation + credit check
Before One-click starts, we do two checks:
- If your balance is below the estimated cost, we block the create action and show how many credits you need.
- If your balance is high enough, we show a one-time confirmation before spending credits.
You can turn off that confirmation by unchecking Show this warning next time in the modal.
If you leave settings blank
If you do not choose something, we pick a reasonable default for you. That is the point of One-click: less setup, faster results.
How one-click chooses a title
When one-click generates social copy, it creates 3 title options and a description, then auto-selects the shortest title as the default.
If your video is still using a draft placeholder name, one-click updates it to that selected title automatically.
Preview-only (optional)
If you turn on preview_only, we stop before the final render. This is useful when you want a draft first.
When preview-only is used:
- Your draft is prepared so you can review it.
- The final video is not rendered yet.
- You can render later from My Library.
Free daily access applies to the full rendered video you choose that day, not preview-only drafts.
If something fails
If the automatic process fails, My Library will show a simple error message.
What to try:
- Open the video from My Library and continue from the step that needs attention.
- If it still fails, contact support and include the video ID.

Keep scripts suitable for ages 13 and up
Trending is a general-audience service. Prompts and scripts with sexual content, self-harm, violent stories, hate, threats, or similar unsafe material are refused.
We check the idea before writing, check the finished script, check saved edits, and check again before creating the voice-over. If a request is refused, try a different, non-graphic idea that is suitable for a general audience. A refused generation does not use generation credits.
