Confession Video – Simple step-by-step guide

A beginner-friendly guide to making Confession Videos on Trending.com. Learn the simple steps from script to render (v001).

A Confession Video is a story-like narration that feels personal and emotional. It is designed for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.

What you do

  • Pick the confession topic or theme (or leave it blank).
  • Choose a voice style (optional).
  • Pick 1+ background clips (they can be short).
  • Pick a caption look.

  • Stitch your background clips so the total covers the narration.

Steps (simple)

  1. Name your video
    Give it a name you will remember.
  2. Script
    We generate the confession story. You can edit it.
  3. Voice
    We create narration from the script.
  4. Pick background clips
    Select 1+ clips until their total duration covers the narration. Use the Play/Pause button to preview clips, and on mobile a sticky footer shows how many clips are selected and how many remain.
  5. Arrange backgrounds
    Reorder the clips (to remove a clip, go back to the previous step).
  6. Caption style
    Pick how captions look while the story plays and optionally add background music.
  7. Review and render
    Render the video. Once it starts, pick a generated title and review the description. After it finishes, download or render again.

One-click create (optional)

On Step 1, you can choose One-click create to make a Confession Video automatically.

To keep it truly one click, the optional settings are hidden at first. Click Options (the tune icon) if you want to change anything.

  • Theme (optional) — leave blank and we pick one.
  • Voice (optional) — Adam is the default.
  • Music (optional) — choose a track in a modal with search, mood filters, favorites, and upload.
  • Preview only (optional) — stops before the final render so you can render later.

You will also see an Estimated cost before you start.

After you start One-click create, we send you to My Library and show progress. It usually takes about 10 minutes.

API (for developers)

You can also create Confession Videos with an API call:

  • POST /api/v1/confession/videos — start a Confession Video
  • GET /api/v1/confession/videos/{video_id} — check status and get a temporary download link when ready
