Years ago I worked as a civilian on a committee overseen by the military. A relatively unknown Major from headquarters was given oversight of the committee. I knew him from years before, so was well aware of his character, which was very intelligent and amicable. We were reviewing an event that was for the spouses, and he gave direction for better champagne to be served by saying something along the lines of "because not only is my wife a lush, she's a H***e" it was funny watching the faces around the table as they tried to figure out how to react.
