A Reddit user recently posted an image of an Arizona state driver's license that has left the internet in stitches. The user shared a photo of their ID, which features a picture taken when they were just 13 years old. Despite being 38 now, the photo has been rolled over through numerous renewals, leading to a wacky and somewhat nostalgic result.

This unlikely journey began when the user needed a state ID at 13 to start working. Over the years, the same photo was reused for their learner’s permit, driver’s license, and subsequent renewals. Even the COVID-19 pandemic contributed to the photo's extended lifespan, as in-person renewals were not possible. The user's license is now valid until 2031, still featuring the youthful image.

The reactions from the Reddit community have ranged from humorous to outright supportive. One commenter noted, "You look guilty of everything ever," while another joked, "When your ID photo is literally a mugshot." Another user shared a similar experience, saying, "Arizona IDs are so funny in America. One of the only state-issued IDs you can’t use as legal ID for some things because of how they expire."

The image itself shows the word "Arizona" prominently displayed in a cursive-like font. Below it is the photo of the man, who has short dark hair and facial hair, looking directly at the camera with a somewhat distressed or confused expression. The right side of the image contains various lines of text and numbers, mostly blacked out for privacy.

Despite the humorous nature of the post, the user mentioned needing to get a new photo taken to upgrade to a “REAL ID.” Yet, there’s a part of them that’s curious about how long they can keep the old photo.

In the end, the consensus among Redditors is clear: "Don't ever change it." The unique and funny nature of this driver's license photo has turned it into a work of internet art, with many agreeing that such quirky ID photos are often the best, as they capture a moment in time that is both genuine and amusing.

My state allows you to start working at 14, but you need a state ID. So when I was 13, I got my picture taken and my “non-driver license”. Then when I turned 16, I got my learner’s permit and they didn’t take a new photo. Then at 17, I passed the driver exam and my learner’s permit automatically converted into a license with the same photo. Then when my license was up for a renewal 7 years later, they couldn’t take a photo so they rolled it over again. Then COVID happened and we couldn’t do in-person renewal so they rolled the photo over again. Today I am 38, my license is good until 2031, and my photo is from when I was 13 years old. 😅 I ***MUST*** get a new photo taken to upgrade my license to a “REAL ID”, but part of me wants to see how long I can stretch this out **Edit**: [here you go guys 😂](https://i.imgur.com/gu2lggB.jpeg) **Edit 2**: the signature in the photo isn’t mine, that’s the New York commissioner

Absolutely not! That's what you'll probably look like when you get pulled over by the cops anyway. It'll be easier for them to recognize you. You may even pull the same face when being carded for alcohol or cigarettes.

I've seen a Lot of ID's, most people have Okay photos. I've seen some with full, professionally applied makeup. People, you're doing it wrong. You want a s***ty photo on your ID. Roll straight out of bed and have the photo taken. Because when you need to use your ID, chances are, you aren't going to be looking your best.

"I am not drunk, mr policeofficer. I just look like this. See?" \*shows drivers license\* You should have had your eyes half open in the picture. Would have been even better.

Arizona IDs are so funny in America. One of the only state issued IDs you can’t use as legal ID for some things because of how they expire. I could’ve had my ID from when I was 16 all the way up to when I’m 65 and it’d still be valid.

It looks like you've had a mild stroke, but other than that I see no issues. My license photo looks like a booking photo for county jail.
