It only took 2 for me. I hit "f*** this s***" pretty early on and I didn't even have to leave my state. All the other vendor staff around me were dead in their eyes and were moving without souls. As soon as the doors open though, the masks come on. Horrible experience.

I went to the German version of NPE (K-Show) several years ago. My company comped us some passes, but I noticed that they normally sold for around 70 or 80 euros. Hell, I thought, for that price there better be naked women and carnival rides. Sure enough, one vendor hired a model and a body painter so there was a nude woman, standing amid the injection molding machines. And then, another vendor had rented a carnival ride and had it set up outside one of the halls. So, money well spent I guess.

I worked a booth for my company for many years, presumably because I knew our product and services backwards and forwards and I presented myself well, but boy was it a drag. I coped by just trying to stay true to the technical details and trying to make it educational for the client. I hated being identified as a salesman.
