Michael Tae Sweeney has sparked a heated discussion with his recent tweet, highlighting perceived biases within mainstream media. The tweet, posted by the user @mtsw.bsky.social, features a provocative statement regarding the media's coverage priorities. The profile picture accompanying the tweet shows a black and white illustration of an animal face, possibly a panda or raccoon, wearing a red hat on a red background.

Sweeney's tweet reads: "I think a major party presidential candidate being repeatedly connected with child r***** Jeffrey Epstein has more news value than 'Tim Walz served for 24 years in the national guard honorably but we found one guy who wants to lie about him' but I'm not the New York Times."

The tweet has generated a flurry of comments and reactions from users expressing various opinions on the matter:

1. One user pointed out, "Remember. All established media has a right-wing bias due to their owners being exclusively billionaires."

2. Another comment questioned the media's priorities, "How many times did Trump go to Child-R*** Island? Seems like the only reason to go to Child-R*** Island would be to r*** children. I can't imagine the chicken wings are good enough to ignore the Child-R***."

3. A user highlighted recent events, saying, "Trump is literally flying around in Epstein's private plane like yesterday."

4. Another commentator reflected on historical media biases, "You'd think the NYT might have learned from the Swift Boat fiasco perpetrated on John Kerry twenty years ago by the very same guy libeling Tim Walz now, but then you're not the Times, which carries more Republican water than Nestlé. Fifth generation nepobaby publisher Artie Sulzberger knows better than evvvvveryone else because he's a Stuper Jenius!"

5. An observation about media preferences said, "The NYT wants Trump to win. Most popular media in the US wants Trump to win. Because Trump is good for business. Trump will cut their taxes. Trump will take away their workers' rights. Trump will kill the unions that cost them money."

These comments reflect a broader sentiment of frustration towards perceived media biases and the prioritization of sensationalist news over substantial reporting. The discussion has also brought to light issues around media ownership and the influence of powerful individuals on news narratives.

Michael Tae Sweeney's tweet not only questions the journalistic choices of prominent media outlets like The New York Times but also ignites a broader conversation about the quality and focus of modern journalism. The tweet serves as a call to action for media consumers to critically evaluate the information presented to them and consider the underlying motives behind media coverage.

The debate around this tweet is emblematic of the ongoing struggle between traditional media outlets and newer, more independent voices demanding accountability and transparency. As the conversation continues, it remains to be seen how media ent***** will respond to these critiques and whether they will adjust their coverage to better serve the public interest.

The NYT wants Trump to win. Most popular media in the US wants Trump to win. Because Trump is good for business. Trump will cut their taxes. Trump will take away their workers' rights. Trump will kill the unions that cost them money.

The New York Times is a right wing hate rag. They're not as far right as say, the Wall Street Journal, but NYT likes to proclaim centrism.

I don't watch the news. I decided in 2016 I would vote for anybody but Trump, and I stand by that decision. It's not like he's going to wake up tomorrow and decide to be a decent person. He's shown the world who he is for years and years, and no matter what the press outlets say, I ain't voting for him. So no need to pay attention to any of it.

Could someone explain to me what happened to NYT Iin right wing-left wing context? They used to be a lot better

Weird to pretend 'new' media is any better.

So many people in the world clinging to the notion that there is a certain amount of work you're "supposed" to do or else you're being lazy. You work to afford living. If you can afford everything you need, you've worked enough.
