In an extraordinary display of youthful talent and skill, 9-year-old Ema Kawakami has become the first person to land three consecutive 900s. This incredible feat has taken the skateboarding community by storm, with none other than the legendary Tony Hawk himself celebrating the achievement.

The video capturing this historic moment features Ema effortlessly executing the consecutive 900s, with onlookers in awe of the young prodigy's prowess. For those unfamiliar with the 900, it's a trick involving two and a half mid-air rotations, a maneuver that was once considered nearly impossible. Tony Hawk's journey to mastering the 900 at the X Games remains one of the most iconic moments in skateboarding history, making Ema's accomplishment even more remarkable.

Viewers have expressed their astonishment and admiration for Ema's skills. One commenter reminisced about watching Tony Hawk's attempts at the X Games, describing it as a core childhood memory. Another pointed out how Ema's helmet spin helps in seeing the 900s clearly. The community is hopeful that Ema continues to enjoy skateboarding and advances further in the sport.

Some comments humorously critiqued the young skateboarder's technique, suggesting that linking the tricks with manuals or lip tricks, as Tony Hawk demonstrated in his video games, would maximize his score. Others reflected on how the 900 was once seen as a mythical trick in skateboarding, now effortlessly performed by a 9-year-old.

The video also sparked discussions about the future of skateboarding records. One user predicted that Ema might be the first to land four consecutive 900s in the future. The precision of Ema's landings, with his board perfectly aligned for touchdown, showcases his exceptional control and potential for even greater achievements.

While some jested about the scoring systems in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater video game, the overall sentiment is one of excitement and admiration. The community celebrates this new generation of skateboarders, taking pride in seeing their passion evolve and reach new heights.

Ema Kawakami's achievement has not only impressed Tony Hawk but has also inspired many. Skateboarding legends like Tony Hawk have paved the way, and now, young talents like Ema are pushing the boundaries even further. The future of skateboarding looks incredibly bright with prodigies like Ema leading the way.

I was gonna say what would Tony Hawk think of that and then I saw Tony Hawk celebrating because he's a fantastic lad.

Seeing Tony Hawk try and try and try at the X Games to hit this is one of my core childhood memories. School's out for summer, I was home alone, and I was screaming my head off cheering for him. It is one of the all-time great achievements in any sport. And now this kid drops 3 in a row? Humans are f***ing amazing.

If you’re having trouble seeing that they’re 900s, watch his helmet spin.

KYGELL91

The kid has a website and a social media presence. I really do hope its something he enjoys doing and he keeps getting to ride as long as he wants

OhNoItsCarlSaganAndHisSpaceshipOfTheImagination

He's never gonna get the high score that way. Tony Hawk taught me you gotta link those with a manual or some lip tricks. Amateur.

Oh man....hes only 9 and hes already peaked

Rynestrm

It’s funny how the 900 use to be this almost fictitious thing in skateboarding.

Old masters should be nothing but st***d to see the next generations smash their records. There's more pride to be felt seeing your passion taken to the next level than maintaining your own records.
