A video titled "Let’s nap" has been making waves on Imgur, drawing a wide range of reactions from viewers. The clip features a touching moment between a baby and a kitten, sparking both adoration and concern among those who have watched it.

One viewer noted, "That baby has no idea what’s going on," highlighting the innocence of the infant. Another simply exclaimed, "Aw, kitten..." while yet another added, "Awww 😍 kitty," capturing the collective sentiment of cuteness overload.

However, not everyone was entirely comfortable with the scene. Comments such as "Playing with fire here..." and "As cute as this is, and I see the parent's hands close by, I wouldn't trust a baby around such a small animal. Babies don't know their strength," reflect the cautious outlook some viewers have regarding the safety of both the baby and the kitten. The concern is that the baby might accidentally harm the kitten or vice versa. One comment emphasized, "I wouldn't ever do this. That kitten could become startled at any noise, including the baby crying and accidentally scratch him."

Further, another user mentioned, "And if he squeezes too hard that baby kitty has no control over its reaction to scratch the source of pain. That includes month old eye balls," stressing the potential dangers of such interactions. An old wives' tale was also recalled: "way back in olden days, says you shouldn’t have cats around babies because they sit on them (or next to them) and s*** the air out of the baby." Though the commenter admitted not understanding the origin of this belief, they did add, "women should not deal with the kitty litter while preggers or nursing," which is a well-known precaution.

On a lighter note, some viewers were impressed by the baby's behavior, with one remarking, "Amazing restraint from the baby, not putting the kitten in its mouth." Another pointed out, "That is a very small kid to be trusting to be gentle with that kitten," while someone humorously commented on the practicality of the scene, "That burp cloth is top tier, I have about 30 of these on hand at any given time."

The video also received comments like, "THIS IS THE CUTEST G*****N THING I EVER DID SAW," and "Adorable, but also knowing cats, literally psychotic!" reflecting the mix of admiration and wariness. The term "Crazy cat-lady starter kit" even made an appearance, adding to the playful banter.

Some viewers were distracted by the visual quality, with one asking, "Why does the baby look like it had a blurring filter on its face? I was so distracted by it," while another declared, "Cuteness Overload!!" and a cheeky viewer noted, "hey they're not actually napping at all! we've been tricked."

While the video is undeniably charming, it also raises questions about the appropriateness and safety of such interactions. As one viewer summarized, "Bad for the kitten and the kid. Wait till they're both older." Another humorously concluded, "I'm reporting and blocking you for posting an illegal amount of cuteness."

This affecting yet controversial video certainly gives viewers a lot to think about when it comes to the dynamics between babies and pets.

An old wives tale, way back in olden days, says you shouldn’t have cats around babies because they sit on them (or next to them) and s*** the air out of the baby. I never understood what happened that this idea could possibly come from. But I do know that women should not deal with the kitty litter while preggers or nursing.
