In the world of food delivery, mishaps are inevitable. A recent image on Imgur titled "Would you still have eaten it?" captures a uplifting interaction between a pizza delivery service and a particularly understanding customer.

The image features a text message exchange accompanied by two photos. The first photo shows a pizza that appears to have been poorly handled, with the cheese and toppings shifted significantly to one side. This damage likely occurred during delivery, perhaps due to a sudden stop or sharp turn by the new driver.

In the text conversation, User 1 from the pizza place immediately acknowledges the mistake and apologizes, stating, "We have a new one coming soon, sorry. New driver." The message also details their internal training procedure, explaining that making the person responsible fix their mistake is the best training method. They even humorously suggest making the driver stand in the corner as a form of light-hearted punishment.

The customer, User 2, showcases exceptional empathy and understanding. They respond, "Bro… It’s okay. Just thought you should know. No need for another. This won’t stop me ordering from you in the future. Great pizza and always great service. No worries." The customer even expresses concern for the driver, asking the pizza place to tell him he got lucky with a forgiving customer who holds him harmless.

The second photo in the image shows the delivery driver standing in front of a tall shelving unit in a dejected stance, wearing a beanie and a blue shirt. This visual adds a layer of humanity to the story, showing the driver who had a rough night but was met with understanding rather than anger.

Comments on the post reveal a range of reactions, from nostalgia about similar experiences to commendations for the customer's empathy. One user reminisces about a 90s Pizza Hut experience where they received three pizzas for the price of one due to multiple mistakes. Another user shares their bakery mishaps, noting that they always accept imperfect bread because they want to eat it, not display it in a museum.

The overall sentiment of the comments is positive, with many users calling for more empathy in customer service interactions. One user aptly sums it up: "Why can't we all be so nice?"

This story is a reminder that while mistakes happen, kindness and understanding can turn a negative experience into a memorable one. The damaged pizza may not have looked perfect, but it still tasted great, and the customer’s response left a lasting impression on both the driver and the pizza place. So, would you still have eaten it? For many, the answer is a resounding yes.

"Would you still have eaten it?" How in the world is that even a question? It's pizza, it's edible, of course I'd eat it.

Back in the 90s we lived outside of delivery range of pizza hut and we kids really wanted it, so mom drove into town to pick it up. They had like like 3 pizzas ready for her instead of 1. They explained they put the wrong toppings on the first one, messed up the 2nd one, and made a 3rd one. They insisted she take all 3 for the price of one. Good times.

I have often gone to the bakery, and the overworked ladies mess the bread a bit. They always say "Please pick another one" or "It was the last one, it's my fault, it will be free"; I always tell em I dont care, I want to eat it, not display it at a museum.

Presentation aside, that's still a good looking pie.

The clean lid leads me to believe this may have been an accidental case of pizza inertia violence while driving, and not some a***** holding the box sideways
