In the top panel, Vir Das humorously proposes that there is one God, comparing her to a single woman who went on multiple dates with multiple prophets. He suggests that this divine being said the exact same thing to different prophets, sparking their individual interpretations.

Moving to the middle panel, Vir Das hilariously emphasizes that despite receiving the same message from the divine, the prophets, being men, understood and interpreted it differently. This led to the writing of different scriptures and the birth of various religions.

I don't believe in gods but were they to exist, if they were to communicate with us, they would have to speak to us in terms that we could understand and comprehend based on the knowledge we have at the time. It is my main issue with religious texts because even if they were from the gods themselves, they would still be based on the limited knowledge and comprehension of the people of that time and should not be relied upon indefinitely.

Well yeah, basically. Every sect of a religion has different interpretations which basically boil down to: "WELL ACKHSHUALLY"

UnrulyRaven

Are we just using "mansplaining" to mean "men saying things" now?
