There's a saying about cops... all of them... I can't quite remember.

All countries need a simple law for "Gross violation of human rights" and apply it broadly to anyone abusing their positions in government such as law enforcements. Anyone involved in allowing this deserves jail time at a minimum.

I'm not surprised. My father has had some stressful encounters with police because of his deafness. Hope this man never never needs to work another day in his life.

MrFancyPanzer

F*** the police.

So many constitutional rights violated. So many. And it was so easy to not violate them. The budget of cops should be reduced yearly for the total they have had to pay in lawsuits. Hit them where it hurts. Force them to train well.

I am getting really tired of how petty and terrible American cops are.

You'd have to be a true imbecile to not recognise a bloke probably pointing at his ears and then doing sign language at you and not comprehending "oh, I think he's deaf". On top of that escalating the situation by not slowing down and trying to understand why this guy isn't complying. F***** idiots.

I saw a video where cops arrested a BLIND old guy. The cop claims she thought that his walking aid was a weapon. The police still arrested him after they realized he was blind... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/james-hodges-blind-arrested-columbia-county-sheriffs-officer-gun-collapsible-cane-lake-city-florida/

The charges were eventually dropped, but the allegations in the lawsuit include some pretty serious issues not present in this post. Like denial of an interpreter to communicate with an attorney. And while the a****** and resisting arrest charges were dropped fairly early on, they kept him in prison for having fake money, which isn't a crime unless it was attempted to be used instead of genuine dollars.
