To be fair, Titanic had enough life boats to rescue all the rich people...

Problemwoodchuck

Most of the Titanic's casualties were poor 3rd class passengers. Their cabins were so deep in the ship that some never realized the danger until it was too late or couldn't understand the crew's instructions due to the language barrier. There were even barriers to keep them out of 1st class areas of the ship that were never unlocked, so getting out was like navigating a maze. Most of the lifeboats were gone by the time they managed to make it on deck.

"The debris discovered was consistent with a 'catastrophic implosion', he tells a news conference". At least they died quickly.

Of all the dumb ways to die, this must be one of the most expensive ones.

This isn't a tragedy. Things like the Ukraine war are tragedies.

I would never ever wish the worst of my enemies to be stuck 90 hours in a dark cold metal tube praying to be rescued to then die a horrible death. At least death was quick, but I have to raise an eyebrow about some of the comments I've read on imgur before - or after, and how easy it seems to wish death to others.

Let’s make “Stanton Rush” a verb: to act with colossal blind arrogance and negligence causing obliteration to yourself and others

And they were not “true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans” either. They were rich dingdongs with more money than sense.
