I understand that he is a comedian and a satirist and an entertainer (none of those are insults or slights against him) but Mr. Stewart has been there for my generation. He has had the cajones to go after the s***** people who pretend to be above him. He fostered well educated people to call out real "fake" news

The kings of old would keep a court’s jester who was immune from the kings wrath as long as the jokes were not personal insults to the king. This jesters would roast the Lords and kings beautcrats with impunity. The jester was the only one who could speak the truth before the king as all the others would fear losing their heads.

its like this. republicans think the governments money belongs to them. so spending it on themselves is always fine, its already theirs. but spending it on anyone else is an unjustifiable waste because why should republicans spend their own money on somebody else?

They have been like this as long as I can remember. The most telling recent one is: "I am not going to pay for your loans! I paid for mine, if you are too s***** to read the fine print it's not my fault! Oh sure I will give infinite money to fake companies for PPP, that helps 'job creators'."
