What if someone you loved became something else? This haunting question lies at the heart of the new film from Blumhouse and visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell. Known for the chilling modern monster tale, The Invisible Man, Whannell now brings audiences a terrifying new lupine nightmare: Wolf Man.

Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott, known for his roles in Poor Things and It Comes at Night, stars as Blake, a husband and father from San Francisco. Blake's life takes a dark turn when he inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his father mysteriously vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to high-powered wife Charlotte, played by Emmy winner Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna), on the rocks, Blake convinces her to take a break from their city life and visit the inherited property along with their young daughter, Ginger, portrayed by Matlida Firth (Hullraisers, Coma).

As the family arrives at the farmhouse under the cover of night, they are attacked by an unseen creature. In a desperate attempt to survive, they barricade themselves inside the house as the creature prowls outside. The tension escalates as the family grapples with the horrifying realization that their nightmare may not be just an external threat.

In a gripping teaser, viewers are given a glimpse into the spine-chilling atmosphere of the film. Dialogues like, "What was that thing, Blake? It sounded like an animal. But I swear to God it was standing on two feet," and "Daddy, are we gonna die? No. It's my job to protect you," set the stage for a heart-pounding horror experience. The teaser also hints at a disturbing transformation, with a terrified plea, "Please, daddy you're scaring me! Blake, stop. Daddy, is that you?"

Wolf Man promises to be a gripping addition to the horror genre, combining Leigh Whannell's masterful storytelling with powerful performances by a stellar cast. This film is set to captivate and terrify audiences when it hits theaters in January.

Prepare for a nightmarish journey into the unknown with Wolf Man. Watch the official teaser now and brace yourself for the horror that awaits.
