Motivation Media 231 has shared an intriguing video on TikTok that delves into the fascinating details of why raising the Titanic from the ocean floor is nearly impossible. The video, tagged with #learnontiktok, #interestingfacts, #usa, #educational, #factsyoudidntknow, #fyp, #titanic, and #viral, provides a captivating explanation of the challenges involved in any attempt to bring the historic ship back to the surface.

One of the most surprising facts highlighted is the state of the Titanic's metal. An enormous magnet might seem like a viable method to lift the Titanic, but the metal has degraded so much over the years that it would only result in the ship being torn apart. Another proposed idea involves filling the ship with ping-pong balls to make it float. However, the pressure of the deep ocean water would crush the balls before they could have any effect.

The video also explores the possibility of using a massive 10-ton hook attached to a large robotic submarine. Unfortunately, this method too would likely cause more damage than good to the fragile structure of the ship.

The Titanic's tragic sinking began when it collided with an iceberg, which tore several holes in the side of the ship. The Titanic was engineered with compartments designed to contain flooding if the hull was breached. Remarkably, the ship could still stay afloat even if up to four of these compartments were compromised. However, the iceberg damaged six compartments near the front, causing water to pour in rapidly. This led to the front of the ship sinking into the water, while the rear was lifted into the air. Eventually, the immense weight caused the middle section to break apart, and both halves descended to the ocean floor.
