In a recent post that has garnered significant attention on Reddit, an image captures the essence of the 2024 Crowdstrike incident through a humorous yet telling piece of apparel. The image features a person standing on a balcony, surrounded by lush greenery, sipping from a white mug adorned with artwork. This individual, sporting medium-length brown hair and glasses, wears a white T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase:

```
I WORKED ON
THE 2024
CROWD STRIKE
INCIDENT
AND ALL I GOT
WAS THIS LOUSY
T-SHIRT
```

The T-shirt also features an illustration of a computer monitor displaying a crow, adding a touch of irony to the situation. This image has sparked a conversation among Reddit users, who have shared their experiences and thoughts on the incident.

One user recounted their hectic night, rushing to a radio station office at 1 am to address the fallout from the incident, which took five out of six stations off the air. This individual managed to fix the issue by 4:45 am but expressed a desire to avoid such situations in the future. Another user humorously pointed out that if more funds had been allocated for quality assurance, the problem might have been averted.

A sense of camaraderie emerged in the comments, with one user lamenting that they didn't even receive a T-shirt for their efforts, while another simply said, "At least he got a T-shirt." The conversation took a nostalgic turn as one user compared the Crowdstrike incident to the Y2K bug, noting that while the latter saved a relative's job, the former was far more disruptive.

Interestingly, the incident seemed to have varying impacts across different locations. One user shared that restarting their servers resolved the issue quickly, minimizing downtime for their city. The discussion also touched on the broader context, with a user asking for more information about the strike and another providing a brief overview, mentioning a group of IT professionals who went on strike, causing widespread issues.

The image and the ensuing discussion highlight the often underappreciated efforts of IT professionals who work tirelessly to keep systems running smoothly. The humorous T-shirt serves as a lighthearted reminder of the challenges faced and the resilience shown by those who manage to keep the digital world afloat, even when all they get in return is a "lousy T-shirt."

If they paid more than a t-shirt for QA, we might not have had the problem.

I rushed to the office (radio stations) at 1 am. It took five out of six stations off the air, and several workstations in the studios. I was le tired, but luckily it was a relatively easy fix. I was out of there and done by 4:45 am. Still, I'd rather that not happen again.

At least he got a t-shirt

Hello Finland.

I remember when everyone was worried about the Y2k bug. It saved my brother’s job cause he was the only employee that remembered the old programming languages. Croudstrike was much worse than the year 2000 bug fear. Thankfully it didn’t affect home PC’s.

We restarted our servers when we came in and all was good. Thankfully it didn’t take our city down for very long.

I understand being upset about it when you own the business, but I see so many people complaining that they got to do no work and sit around for a few hours

There was a crowd of IT nerds that went on strike and it caused some problems.
