In a recent viral post on Reddit, an image titled "That's how my dad uses his mouse" has sparked both curiosity and confusion among users. The image, divided into two panels, showcases a seemingly ordinary desk setup with a white computer keyboard and a black mouse. However, a closer look reveals an unconventional way of using the mouse that has intrigued and baffled many.

The left panel displays the keyboard and mouse neatly arranged on a light-colored surface, with the mouse cord coiled in a looped pattern. In the right panel, a hand in a gray long-sleeve shirt rests on the mouse, demonstrating a method of use that has left Redditors scratching their heads.

One user humorously questioned, "Was he a pilot?" while another joked, "Your dad might be an alien." The most detailed comment came from a user who shared their own experience, describing a similar technique. They explained how they hold the mouse with their thumb on one side and their other fingers on the opposite side, using a high sensitivity setting to maneuver it efficiently. This user mentioned learning the method in 1992 with their first computer, an Apple IIGS, and attributed their unique approach to being dysgraphic.

Other comments ranged from disbelief to amusement. One user declared, "Today I chose violence," while another speculated, "He's the one going in and asking for the backwards flatclicker at playtech." Some even suggested that this dad might be the reason why some games and programs ship with inverted mouse settings.

The post also drew reactions such as "Thanks, I hate it" and "Your dad is either the smartest person on earth or a psycho (or both)." The diversity in responses highlights the mix of fascination and bewilderment that this image has evoked.

Whether viewed as an innovative way to use a mouse or just a quirky habit, this dad's unique technique has certainly made waves online. It serves as a reminder that sometimes, the most unexpected methods can capture the internet's imagination.

I know this probably isn’t the best place to announce such things, but I’m sad to inform you that some of his victims are buried in Your garden.

I literally don't understand how you maneuver the mouse like this?

So I use a mouse the same way. Let me try to answer a few questions. How? I hold the mouse with my thumb on 1 side, and my pinky ring and middle and m************ on the other side. My pointer hovers above, and I kind of scratch the left or right button with my finger. (Bonus, I never have to clip my pointer finger's finger nail). I have the sensitivity set pretty high, and wrest my palm on the desk. I just move move the mouse with my fingers. Why? In 1992, when I got my first computer with a mouse(Apple IIGS), know one in my house had ever seen a mouse in use before. The instructions didn't say how to hold it, and my mom just guessed(I was 11 at the time). Well she guessed wrong, but I had already learned it this way before we found out our mistake. Note. I am dysgraphic, so that probably explains a bit of the why as well. It always just kinda made sense in my head.
