In a world often filled with doom and gloom, Reddit user guava_jam offers a refreshing tale of love and connection on the "r/love" subreddit. The post, shared just six hours ago, is accompanied by a heart-shaped icon made up of small lights and a green tag labeled "Appreciation." The title of the post is striking: "I didn’t want to go to sleep last night because my husband and I were having so much fun talking."

Guava_jam begins by sharing that she has been with her husband for eight years and married for three. On a recent night, as they were snuggling and preparing to turn out the lights close to midnight, they found themselves engrossed in conversation once more. They were having so much fun that she truly didn’t want to turn out the lights and sleep.

One of her husband’s favorite songs is "I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing," and until that night, she had always considered it too sappy. However, the moment made her understand the sentiment behind the song. She expressed her deep love for her husband, stating that even though she anticipates forever with him, she doesn’t want the day to end. She feels incredibly lucky to have found her love and best friend.

The post has resonated with many, sparking a series of heartfelt comments and stories from other users. One user shared about their 19-year relationship, filled with giggle fits and reminiscing. Another user described how talking and cuddling with their boyfriend makes them feel like they’ve found the right person despite life’s adversities.

One particularly touching comment came from a user who has been married for 15 years, expressing that they still enjoy late-night conversations with their husband, often related to their shared hobbies and mutual projects. They described the feeling as powerful and secure, like they can accomplish anything together.

Another user shared their emotional realization that if they are very lucky, they might have 30 more years with their husband, and even that doesn’t feel like enough time.

The stories of love and connection continue to pour in, with users expressing how they cherish those late-night moments with their partners, whether it's talking, joking around, or simply enjoying each other's company.

This touching post by guava_jam and the subsequent comments serve as a beautiful reminder of the simple joys and deep connections that make relationships so special. In an economy where true love might seem hard to find, these stories bring hope and warmth to the hearts of many.

True love? In this economy?

This often happens with my boyfriend and I. We just end up cuddled up, talking s***. You know you've really found the right person when despite any adversity in life, your biggest worry is either of you getting sick, or anything that would reduce the number of years you have left together.

Married 17, together 19. Still happens occasionally, usually starts with a giggle fit then reminiscing of younger days then playfully/sternly saying 'we have to go to sleep!' then repeat cycle for a while; but we're getting older now to where we kind of regret it the next morning, cuz work and old and s***.

Enjoy the moment, enjoy this time.

My husband and I started off our relationship staying up all night talking. We have been together 18 years this October, married 15 years - we still do this. I can't remember if I read this somewhere, or if it's a Husbeast original quote, but he's said, "when you marry your best friend, every night can be a sleep-over!" (He is the husbeast because he's much larger than me)

I love those nights with my husband. It's most frequent when our hobbies intersect of mutual project. There's nothing better than brainstorming and problem solving with him. It makes me feel so powerful and secure, like we can accomplish anything together. Our song is Sweet Symphony by Joy Oladokun ft Chris Stapleton

Been with my husband for 28 years, married for 26. I am occasionally spontaneously brought to tears by the knowledge that if we are VERY lucky I've got 30 more years with him and that is not enough.

Happens to my wife and I every so often. Lying in bed chatting and giggling. Trying desperately not too wake the 4yo sleeping down the hall.

I'm married to my best friend, 18 years married now. I couldn't be happier. She's made my life so much better and I thank her for that. I tell her I love her every day and I mean it.
