Trash is an easy-to-learn card game perfect for relaxing game nights that only requires a standard deck of cards. The goal is to be the first player to complete a layout of ten cards, ace through ten. On each turn, a player draws a card from the deck or discard pile and places it in its correct location in the number sequence by replacing the facedown card in that spot. This card is then turned over and, if possible, placed in its correct location in the sequence. Players continue this process until they reveal a card whose location is already occupied by the correct card or reveal a queen or king. The queen and king cards immediately end the turn. However, jacks are wild and can be used to fill any location. If a player reveals a card whose location is currently occupied by a jack, they can move the jack to a new location in their sequence. The game continues until one player completes their full number sequence. Then the deck is shuffled and re-dealt, but the winner of the previous hand has one fewer card in their layout and only has locations ace to nine. Tens are now unplayable for this player.

The video showcasing this game has received mixed reactions from viewers. Some find it reminiscent of a solitaire game for two players, noting the funny contradiction. One viewer mentioned, "This is a game of pure luck though, zero skill," while another commented, "Top comments aren't going to mention this game is called 'Garbage'? Super fun. No skill needed."

Others pointed out that it’s similar to the card game "Too Many Monkeys" but using a standard $2 deck of cards instead of a special $14.95 deck from the toy aisle. Despite some criticisms, one viewer shared, "This is a great game to pass the time and have conversations over. We're on vacation and doing this tomorrow."

The game's simplicity and the element of luck have made it a favorite among some, particularly in settings like elementary schools where students love playing it. However, not everyone is a fan, with comments like, "I don't see anything fun at all. It is 100% deterministic. The player makes zero choices. Boring."

Whether you find it a delightful way to unwind or a game of pure chance, Trash card game provides an easy and engaging option for game night.

It seems a solitaire game for two players, a funny contradiction. The game does not involve any decisions or skills, only automaticity. Honestly there is better.

Can we outlaw this captioning style? I can't read it and watch what's going on.

Or, for anyone who has had a kid under 8 in the last 15 years or so, this is basically just Too Many Monkeys using a standard $2 deck of cards instead of the $14.95 special deck in the toy aisle.

kingkongkeom

So this is 100% based on luck and 0% based on skill or decision making. Dumb game.
