Vinny Thomas, a social media influencer known for his witty observations, recently posted a tweet that has taken the internet by storm. The tweet features Thomas' signature humor, lamenting the absence of gargoyles on modern buildings. The tweet reads, "Nobody is putting gargoyles on buildings anymore. It can’t be that much more expensive to slap a gargoyle up there. We used to be a proper country."

This humorous take on architectural trends has resonated with many, as evidenced by the flood of comments and shares. One comment, "#1 Fun fact: from a technical standpoint, gargoyles are more difficult to install than you might think, because the term properly refers to any grotesque that is also serving the role of directing the water flow away from the building walls," adds a technical perspective to the discussion, highlighting the complexity of installing these mythical creatures.

Another user humorously commented, "#105 Ohh, the protagonist of Subnautica definitely knows. I mean, at one point you get a bill for all the materials you're using to survive on this uncharted, unclaimed, uninhabitable planet," drawing a parallel between the tweet and the survival game Subnautica.

The tweet's nostalgic tone also sparked a dialogue about the broader implications of modern architecture. Comment #123 noted, "One of the original intent of colleges was to be to turn students into well-learned adults with knowledge of history, politics, arts, and literature. Its goal was not to churn out corporate zombies who only exist to perpetuate capitalism and profit at the expense of everything else in life." This comment reflects a broader societal critique that aligns with Thomas' lament.

Vinny Thomas' tweet doesn't just entertain; it opens the door for deeper conversations about architectural heritage and societal values. With a simple, humorous statement, Thomas has managed to capture the attention and imagination of a wide audience, proving once again the power of social media in shaping public discourse.

For those interested in architecture, history, or just a good laugh, Vinny Thomas' tweet is a must-see. Join the conversation and share your thoughts on why modern buildings have strayed from the tradition of gargoyles.

#2 see thats the problem, the straights feel left out. Make it a sexuality spectrum and give them a consolation color. they can feel included & sit in the corner not bothering anyone. Also, we need a color wheel. Each color a sexuality, while center and outside are the extremes. Closer to center you get less visible manifestations (straight asexual, gay asexual), and further out you get really intense (gay/straight/bi… hyper sexuality with polyamory). Just in case: I’m not serious obviously.
