In a world where Zoom meetings have become the norm, Twitter user "francis" (@fictionaljake) has taken virtual communication to a whole new level. In a tweet that has since gone viral, francis shared an unusual and somewhat controversial prank planned for their next therapy session. The tweet, posted on August 8, 2020, reads:

"My ther***** is selling her house so I'm gonna find the listing online and make her living room my zoom background before our next session. You wanna get in my head? Ok well I'm in your home, babe. I'm in charge now."

This tweet has garnered significant attention, with 3,413 retweets and comments, and an impressive 50K likes. The post has sparked a wide range of reactions from the Twitter community, with many users sharing their thoughts and experiences.

One notable reaction came from a user named "afronerdism," who commented, "Yeah….I see why they're in therapy." This succinct response highlights the mixed feelings many have about francis's approach to their therapy session.

The tweet has prompted a broader discussion on the dynamics of therapy and the boundaries between ther*****s and their clients. Some users found the prank humorous and relatable, sharing similar experiences from their own Zoom meetings:

- "HA! During covid, we were doing all our meetings by Zoom, and I grabbed a screenshot of the 'basement office' of a co-worker when he was not on screen. I put that in quotes because he had a desk set up in a typical unfinished basement. The next day, I had that as my background and I too was in his basement office. :)"

- "One of my coworkers accidentally posted a 2-minute video of himself just quietly sitting in front of his webcam, and that is my video background in Google Meet. Turn my camera off, and I am Kevin."

Others expressed skepticism and concern over the prank's ethical implications:

- "This person voluntarily engaged the ther*****. Therapy is not a power trip. His need to make a power issue out of every relationship is precisely why he needs therapy."

- "Why would you pay for a ther***** if you don't like them? Is this person an idiot?"

In contrast, some users simply appreciated the humor and creativity behind using Zoom backgrounds to lighten the mood during virtual meetings:

- "I use a background pic of my office at work, while I'm at home or a friend's house."

- "#1 better than her bedroom anyway."

The tweet even attracted ads for finding ther*****s online, adding another layer of irony to the situation.

As the debate continues, one thing is clear: francis's tweet has struck a chord with many, highlighting the unique and sometimes surreal experiences that have emerged in the era of virtual communication. Whether seen as a harmless prank or a deeper commentary on the therapeutic relationship, this tweet serves as a reminder of the evolving dynamics in our digital world.

I stepped away from my desk during a zoom meeting once and every other attendee took a screen shot of my background (my office) and made it their background by the time I got back to the meeting. It was... surreal.

I work by myself from home and didn’t have any zoom meetings. It sounds wonderful, though.
