An image that has been circulating in Imgur ads has garnered significant attention and concern among users. This illustration, which appears to be from an animated show or a game, depicts a chaotic scene in a kitchen with vibrant colors and exaggerated features.

In the foreground, an adult woman with reddish-brown hair kneels on the ground, looking distressed as she holds a small transparent container with a yellow lid. Beside her stands a young girl, also with reddish-brown hair, sharing a concerned expression. Both are gazing upwards with worried faces.

Above them, prominently displayed, is an anatomical representation of a liver. This liver is sectioned off with string into various compartments. The upper right compartment contains a cluster of yellow-brown balls, while the upper left section holds a dark purple mass. The unusual depiction hints at a health or anatomical lesson intertwined with domestic life.

The background features a typical kitchen setting with some alarming elements. Green liquid flows out of the sink, creating a pool on the floor, suggesting contamination or an abnormal event. The oven door is slightly ajar, heightening the sense of disarray and urgency in the scene.

A disembodied hand in the upper right corner points towards the liver, emphasizing focus or interaction with the anatomical illustration. This blend of domestic chaos and educational imagery has left many viewers puzzled and disturbed.

User reactions to this ad have been overwhelmingly negative. One user remarked, "I hate this and similar game ads. The ads are intentionally degrading, and the 'person' playing the game in the ad is intentionally inept so that you get mad at their ineptitude and download the game to 'fix' the injustice. It's weaponized psychology (like all advertising) in an overt way. I report these ads every chance I get for being inappropriate/scams."

Another user highlighted a more insidious aspect, commenting, "These games don't exist. They're fake ads for fake games or games that are a 5-minute subset of another game. It's part of some pretty insidious tactics to rope in whales with addictive personalities to spend lots of money on mobile games."

The ad has even been described as "twisted" and "fairly mild compared to how bad these ads can get." Users have noted the prevalence of such fake game ads across mobile games for years. One commenter suggested a practical solution, "Mobile app user, haven't had ads in years. If you're on Android just add a custom DNS to dns.adguard.com, and gone are all ads on Imgur, or any mobile app."

The viral nature of this image and the strong reactions it has provoked highlight the darker side of digital advertising. It serves as a reminder to remain vigilant and critical of the content being promoted, especially when it exploits emotional responses and misleading tactics.

Thing is, these games don't exist. They're fake ads for fake games or games that are a 5-minute subset of another game. It's part of some pretty insidious tactics to rope in whales with addictive personalities to spend lots of money on mobile games.

Fake game ads. been there for years and voutubers even went on to find all of them. but it looks like they are getting the clicks they need .. and besides, the ad creators don't really care for anything else than money.
