Step into the time machine and travel back to 1994 with the legendary arcade game, X-MEN: Children of the Atom. This iconic game allowed players to pit X-Men characters against each other in epic battles, paving the way for future fighting games in the Marvel universe. The game's nostalgic charm has kept fans hooked for decades, and it is set to make a grand return in the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection.

Fans have fond memories of the game's intense battles. One enthusiastic gamer recalls, "BERZERKER BARRAGE!!!" while another points out the silly misinterpretation of Cyclop's "Gene-Splicer" uppercut, which sounded like "Jesus Christ." The excitement doesn't end there, as users eagerly await the re-release, with one commenter sharing, "This game is getting re-released this year! The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection will have this, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games."

The gameplay experience is something that has stood the test of time. One user reminisces, "I still play this game today on my arcade cabinet. I loved kicking Juggernaut's b***." Another adds, "Ice Man's ice boulder attack was OP," highlighting the memorable moves that defined the game.

The anticipation for the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection is palpable. "Can’t wait for the MvC collection!" exclaims one fan, while another hopes for improvements, "I really hope the difficulty is fixed when the Marvel Fighting Collection releases later this year."

The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection, which includes X-MEN: Children of the Atom, is expected to be available on PS4, Switch, and PC. The possibility of its release during San Diego Comic Con has fans buzzing with excitement.

Relive the glory days of arcades with this timeless classic, and get ready to insert your coin once more. X-MEN: Children of the Atom stands as a testament to the golden age of arcade gaming, and its re-release promises to bring the same thrill to a new generation of players.

This game is getting re-released this year! The Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection will have this, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, and the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games. It'll also have the Punisher beat-em up, but nobody is buying the collection for that, lol.

Cyclop's "Gene-Splicer" uppercut always sounded like him yelling "Jesus Christ"

We went from co-op beat-em-ups in the 80's to vs modes in the 90's. And then arcades died.

I really hope the difficulty is fixed when the Marvel Fighting Collection releases later this year. I have a feeling it's already ready and it'll be released during San Diego Comic Con. 🤔
