#2 I could totally imagine a cat going BONKERS for that. Though the instructions leave out how to ensure the central triangle is actually equilateral: using a compass (the drawing instrument) set to the radius of the first line and centered at each endpoint, you should be able to draw a pair of intersecting arcs that becomes the third vertex of the triangle.
