Chiropractors Are Not Real Doctors: The Shocking Truth Unveiled

Why am I only just learning that chiropractors are not real doctors? Chiropractic is a $15 billion industry that was invented by a man named D.D. Palmer, who claimed that ghosts instructed him to create it. Chiropractors believe that joint and nerve issues are the root cause of all ailments. Unfortunately, chiropractic is considered a pseudoscience. While some chiropractors focus on physical therapy and can offer temporary relief for specific types of low back pain, they do not fix musculoskeletal problems nor do they address the wide range of issues they claim to treat.

The abbreviation DC after someone's name on social media indicates they are a chiropractor, not a medical or scientific expert. Various reactions to this revelation have surfaced online, with some individuals sharing their personal experiences and opinions about chiropractic care.

One user humorously stated, "My chiropractor turned me into a newt," while another noted, "I know people who go to their chiropractor three times a week. They feel better when they come out but it doesn't last."

A long-time sufferer of lower back pain shared their experience, "I used to see an amazing chiropractor called Jenny who made me feel like a new man after each session, but she was more into the physical therapy side of things and gave me lots of exercises and advice."

Another comment criticized homeopathic medicine alongside chiropractic care, stating, "Homeopathic medicine shouldn't be called medicine," while another user bluntly remarked, "Chiropractors are quacks. Go see a physical ther***** instead."

Concerns were also raised about the unconventional practices of some chiropractors. A user mentioned, "All the chiropractors around me also use crystals, sell you silver solutions to ingest, and believe the earth is flat. But, it’s semi-rural Ohio we’re talking about."

One person described a test for chiropractic efficacy: "Call on a practitioner, name a few symptoms, memorize the exact spots where he finds subluxations, then go to a second chiropractor with different symptoms and see if he finds the same spots needing adjustment."

Skepticism and negative experiences abound, with one user sharing, "I used Chiro in the past, was close to physio, and then I had kids… she told me I should not vaccinate my twins. Never saw a chiropractor again."

The potential risks associated with chiropractic care were highlighted in another comment, "If someone wants to see a chiropractor, that's on them. I hope it makes them feel better, but I hope they read about the potential link to vertebral artery dissection before they let anyone manipulate their neck."

Despite the controversies, some individuals reported positive outcomes. One user stated, "I went to a chiropractor after a traffic accident. 24 hours after my first visit, the pain and pressure in my neck and head were greatly reduced. It worked for me."

However, others remain staunchly opposed, emphasizing the importance of seeking help from actual doctors. As one comment reiterated, "For certain types of low back pain, chiropractic adjustment can offer temporary relief. If you have genuine chronic joint pain issues, seek the help of actual doctors, not quacks."

While chiropractic care may offer short-term relief for some, it is essential to approach it with caution and be aware of its limitations and potential risks.

I've been a long-time sufferer of lower back pain (for obvious reasons). I used to see an amazing chiropractor called Jenny who made me feel like a new man after each session, but she was definitely more into the physical therapy side of things and gave me lots of exercises and advice to get me back to work.
