One of my most fun video game experiences was playing call of duty world at war against a clan of cheaters (more like glitch exploiters). They clipped into the walls and stuff but we figured out where they did it and just set up right there in the next game and slaughtered em like rabbits. They all quit after that.

The only time I cheated in an mp game was on the server of a clan I was part of after the leader accused me of cheating. So I showed him that if I really cheated he wouldn't have been able to leave his spawn. Afterwards he banned me and I stopped playing that game all together some time later

Cheating is why I stopped playing Rust. Kinda s**** out the motivation when a dude on his fifth Steam account has a purchased hack pack and is sniping you through a mountain range before teleporting to your base.

There's definitely worse than this. Elden Ring had a period where people were invading and dropping bugged items in other peoples games that couod brick other player's PCs
