My wife was assaulted by her masseuse. She reported it to the police, they took it seriously, and he was convicted. He wasn’t however convict of the crime he committed on my wife, but the strength of her accusation and testimony, helped convict him of other crimes. It was difficult and embarrassing for her to come forward and I am exceedingly proud of her!!!

Everything gets downvoted at first. Bots, people trolling Usersub too quickly in muscle memory after 6 Russian GTA V posts or someone spamming anime… content. You can’t take it personally or as a shot against your post. It just happens. The issue that follows is commenting on it. That also makes a populace turn. If you know your content is solid, post and walk away for a while. Your message is just here, but you have to be ready for it to fail to reach. Try again. And again. And again.

I'm 35/m and I've never told anyone this because the victim didn't want me to. I walked in on one of my best friends and her in the bathroom at a party. He suddenly held her face first against the bathroom counter and pulled up her dress from the back. He suggested I join. I had seen them fool around consensually in front of our friend group so I figured it was their thing until I saw the look of dread on her face. I'll never forget it. I pushed him away before he did anything. She was grateful

I am a straight white man and I was strategically pumped full of alcohol by a group of women during my first month of college so that one of them could take advantage of me while I was passed out drunk. I found out later when one of them felt too guilty and told me. The rest of them threatened to claim that I was the r***** if I reported them. The girl that told me then clammed up and said she would deny anything ever happened if authorities asked about it.

My friend was abused for years and the police did nothing no matter what she went to them with. It reached the point where he controlled all her communication with friends and family and essentially had her housebound, the only reason she got away was because her mother's cancer relapsed and he let her go home because he's "not a monster". She never got justice and to this day lives with severe PTSD that has essentially destroyed her life. If I ever find him...
