Hollywood wouldn't know talent. They canceled Firefly.

Just like always, rich capitalists do their d*****est to hurt people for a bit more profit.

People in the entertainment industry need to be paid a fair wage upfront. No promises of lifetime residuals to make up for substandard pay that are broken with "creative" Hollywood accounting. Imagine paying your mechanic 10% of what they should be paid and promise a few cents for every mile you drive.

Meh, I can't remember the last time I watched a film that was a new and original idea. It's all reboots and necroes of old franchises nowdays, lame

Don't forget all the people offered a percent of the profits only to be told that the worldwide blockbuster hit had made a loss and they were getting nothing. You have to fight the adverts but here are a few: https://whatculture.com/film/11-incredibly-successful-movies-that-shockingly-made-no-profit

We'd all be better off if we k***ed at the CEOs until the CEOs treated us fair. I bet we'd probably only need to k*** like 5 to 10 of them till they fell in line but we don't stop till they do.

Funny how the writers strike's been going on for like 2 months and now that the actors are striking suddenly people care. Shame about the lighting, sound, set designs, ect guys. Restaurant industry's probably also gonna take a hit given how much film crews eat out while on set.

My wife and I both used to work in Hollywood. (We have since relocated.) She worked in production & I in post. Worked with all the studios at one point or another. I would see studios make 10+ trailers & throw loads of money into a "tentpole" property that cost 100 million + to make (that was later panned by critics and audiences) only to make 2 trailers for a film that cost 20mil to make that turns out to be a smash at the box office. Hollywood executives dint know what the h*** they're doing.

Last time there was a strike like this we got Doctor Horrible because some actors got bored and decided to self-publish.

hollywood accounting is why you accept percentage earnings on net income, not net profits
