As long as you can do your assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and uphold the standards, who cares?

Ah yes, the classic conservative argument “if there’s no reason to hate them, then why do I hate them so much? Checkmate”

This is what they were saying about women in the service, and black troops before them. There's only one question a soldier should be asking; is the soldier next to me capable? They are? Then by all means shut the f*** up.

I know it's not what he meant but a transgender soldier would have good reason not to trust the bigot next to him. Maybe we should just ban bigots from the military.

My best friend that I served with was trans the whole time during don’t ask don’t tell. They came out and transitioned when it was lifted and promptly got kicked out when Trump came into office. The military lost a very good professional and potential lifer that day cause dumb a**** can’t mind there own business and will make up any logical leap to justify their s*** for brains control fetish

Aaron Sorkin: "[You think] they pose a threat to unit discipline and cohesion. I also don't think that the military was designed to be an instrument of social change. Problem with that is that's what they were saying about me 50 years ago. 'Blacks shouldn't serve with Whites, it would disrupt the unit.' You know what? It DID disrupt the unit. The unit got over it. The unit changed. I'm an admiral in the US Navy and the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff. Beat that with a stick."
