I thought the oracle said “there is no man wiser than Socrates” which could mean that all men are as wise as Socrates and also that Socrates is less wise than all women. If my logic is correct we need to learn about the gender identity of CharGPT before we can make any meaningful comparisons.

Out of curiosity I once asked ChatGPT to write 500 word essays about various main characters from “Rick and Morty” (a topic I know a great deal about). The results seemed impressive with in-depth analysis of each character complete with episode-specific citations. But to someone with an extensive knowledge of the source material, the results were factually b*******.

Holy s*** the number of people calling this woman names and saying she doesn't know what she is talking about. Meanwhile she is an associate professor at oxford who is specifically working on AI ethics in a academic capacity. Its astounding that when an expert has a take on something how quick imgur is to whip its e-peen out and wave around and go "No you're stupid, I know the most about this."

After chatting with AI for countless hours, I 100% approve of naming them "The Ultimate B*******ters". My brother says of them that they are like talking to a random dude in a bar that has overheard every conversation there is but didn't really understood their meaning.

Chatgpt is just a tool. It's no more wise at producing language than a calculator is at producing computation.

I know a researcher that said a professor asked their research team for a particular protocol. The professor included a response from ChatGPT that told them of the existence of that protocol, and provided detailed instructions of links several layers deep of how to navigate to the download link. Only problem was it was all a lie. None of the links past the first layer or two existed, or had ever existed. The protocol never existed, either.
