I was neither. I was never allowed to go anywhere except school, and required school events, until I turned 17. Then, I was allowed to spend 1 weekend a month at my best friend’s house. I moved out as soon as I turned 18. My parents were abusively strict. I’m happy they completely changed after I moved out and they realized how bad they were.

I constantly have to remind other parents how much safer the world is today compared to 30 years ago. They seem to think the 80's and 90's were safer than today with cell phones and front door cameras on almost every house.

We went to the overgrown ruins of a cement facotry where rumour had it, a guy had been crushed to death. I think we were around 9. Fun times!
