#1 is a fundamental misunderstanding of the term. Unskilled means it does not require a lengthy training / education, a cashier can be trained quickly, an electrician cannot(at least if they are to be good). You're involving a useful distinction in your (rightful) effort to combat wage and work issues. Nobody should have a poverty wage, but a cashier should also not make the same amount of money as an electrician or doctor, for multiple reasons including levels of education.

#2 I'm so tired of the right's histrionic slippery s**** b*******. I don't care what you call it. A society that collectively possess the resources to provide necessities to all of its citizens, but chooses not to, has failed as a society. Nevermind how the rich have been plundering the rest of us for decades, and have seen their taxes get steadily lower over that same period. F***

Are there unskilled jobs? Well, there are less skilled jobs. But a good number of the ones in that picture are skilled trades.

For the one s******* on "Not Just Bikes", I get his reasoning. You've got one shot here and you can spend it miserable in a place you actively dislike or you can leave. Not everyone wants to spend their entire life fighting politics. Some of us have to, but it's not something anyone is doing 'for fun'. Plus, i'd argue the dude does more than most people actively trying to change their towns by educating/reaching people about it.

#1 At least some of those jobs look like they require some degree of skill to me.

Unskilled jobs don't mean you are unskilled at the job it means you don't need a college degree to apply, and can be trained on the job. It's poor phrasing.

Unskilled jobs exist... I've done some of them. The reality is there are some jobs which all you need to do be able to do the job is basically have a heart beat. If you can learn how to do it with the scope of an hour... its kinda hard to call it a 'skill'. Now, just because a job doesn't require a lot of training or skill to do, doesn't mean its not valuable to society. The person should still be able to have a basic acceptable standard of living.

#3 Almost like it's winter time in South Africa when it's summer time in the northern hemisphere.

#1 I mean, I agree but I also gained my "skill" by paying $150,000 and going to college for 6 years. So ... I definitely should be making more than someone who gets three days of on the job training.
