While experts remain uncertain about whether the current political climate will allow for a U.S.-Saudi agreement leading to Saudi-Israeli normalization, Saudi Arabia's demands for peace, including a truce and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, remain at odds with the stance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
