Marques Brownlee, famously known as MKBHD, continues his tradition of unboxing the latest Apple releases on launch day. This time, it’s the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro that have taken center stage. As always, Apple has made some tweaks, but this year marks a significant change: the removal of stickers from the iPhone 16 boxes.

The unboxing starts with the base models, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, which are now available in vibrant new colors. The flagship color, Ultra Marine, stands out, and even the pink plus-sized phone exudes a fresh appeal. Both models retain their previous sizes, 6.1 inches for the base and 6.7 inches for the Plus, but now feature bigger batteries, a welcome upgrade for users.

Inside the box, the familiar high-quality braided USB-C cable makes a return, along with a small bit of paperwork. However, users will notice the absence of a SIM card tool and, notably, the stickers that have been a staple in Apple packaging for years. This marks the end of an era, as Apple continues to streamline its packaging contents.

Moving on to the Pro models, there’s a subtle yet noteworthy change. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature the front of the phone on their boxes, highlighting their slightly thinner bezels. The Natural Titanium variant looks and feels very similar to last year’s titanium iPhone 15 Pro, with the same USB-C cable included.

This year's iPhones may not show drastic changes on the surface, but the return of colors and the introduction of larger batteries are certainly exciting. The decision to remove stickers from the packaging is a bold move by Apple and signifies a shift in their approach to product presentation.
