In a recent episode of the JRE MMA Show, Joe Rogan sat down with Max Holloway, the current BMF Title holder and a professional mixed martial artist competing in the Featherweight and Lightweight divisions of the UFC. During their conversation, Holloway shared a jaw-dropping story about his experience with jet lag during a fight in Abu Dhabi.

When asked about dealing with jet lag for a fight, Holloway admitted that he hadn't faced it much in his career. However, his fight in Abu Dhabi was a whole different story. He explained that the time difference and the unusual fight schedule made it incredibly challenging to adjust his body clock.

Holloway recalled how they had to sleep during the day and train at night because of the fight's early morning schedule. He even mentioned going to bed around 8 or 9 a.m., which is not the usual bedtime for a fighter. The entire experience was nothing short of insane.

Joe Rogan pointed out that living in Abu Dhabi would give fighters a significant advantage in terms of acclimatization. Holloway agreed, emphasizing how the recently announced July card in the UK, with fights starting at 3 a.m., would be a tough challenge for the fighters and the audience alike.

Holloway shared a crazy anecdote about a UK fan who watched their fight at an odd hour and, after it ended, said, "Great, now I can start my morning." The fan opened the door only to find daylight outside, highlighting the absurdity of the fight schedule.

The conversation also touched upon the American pay-per-view time schedule, which often trumps everything else due to the high number of purchases. However, Holloway acknowledged that the UK is another hot spot for UFC, with a passionate fan base.
