The internet is replete with humorous content, but few pieces capture the collective imagination quite like a recent image circulating on Reddit. Titled "A statistical info is made, so it must be true," the image features a world map with blue shading over all the continents, accompanied by a quirky caption that has tickled the funny bones of many.

The text at the top of the image reads, "The Blue Areas Are Where People Are Kung Fu Fighting." Beneath it, smaller text humorously attributes this global phenomenon to a "study done by Carl Douglas in 1974." For those unfamiliar, Carl Douglas is the artist behind the iconic 1974 hit song "Kung Fu Fighting," a track that has become synonymous with the martial art in popular culture.

The map, with its blue-highlighted continents, comically suggests that people all over the world are engaged in Kung Fu fighting. This playful nod to Douglas' song has sparked a wave of amusing comments from Reddit users.

One user quipped, "Surely not *everybody* was kung fu fighting!?" Another added, "That's right. The Pacific nations did not participate in the kung fu fighting. But that just doesn't have the same rhythm." The jest continued with comments like, "In fact, this is a little bit frightening," and "According to the very same survey, 100% of those who were in fact, kung fu fighting, had their kicks going as fast as lightning."

The humor didn't stop there. Users debated the accuracy of the map, with one proclaiming, "That is False. Douglas stated that everybody *was* Kung-fu fighting. Those Kicks *where* as fast as Lightning." Another amusingly pointed out the lack of data representation for people on ships and cargo, jesting, "You forgot people on the ships and cargos... Data representation is biased, plz submit your report again."

Even the geographical anomalies didn't escape notice. One comment humorously noted, "Weird to see Greenland on a map not greyed out with 'no data,' for once," while another lamented, "Poor New Zealand." A user also highlighted the meme's dad-joke quality, stating, "This is the most ‘dad’ meme I’ve ever seen. Love it."

Overall, the image serves as a delightful piece of internet humor, blending nostalgia for Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting" with clever commentary on the absurdity of statistical representations. It's a perfect example of how a simple meme can unite people across the globe in laughter, proving that sometimes, the best humor is universal.

Can confirm. Those cats are fast as lightning.

Wotzehell

That is False. Douglas stated that everybody *was* Kung-fu fighting. Those Kicks *where* as fast as Lightning. At some Point 1974 or more likely, long before everybody must've stopped Kung-fu fighting. I figured it must've been long before 1974 where everyone stopped Kung-fu fighting because Carl Douglas probably wouldn't feel the the need to tell peers about it who where presumably younger then him and he was giving a kind of history lesson...
