King Louie's Lab and War and Peas have collaborated on a thought-provoking four-panel comic that has stirred up a range of emotions and reactions on social media. The comic, which has been widely shared and discussed, depicts a red ant-like character and his son in a heavenly setting, revealing a darkly humorous take on fatherhood and the afterlife.

In the first panel, the background features a sky-blue color adorned with small, white clouds and a few stars, with a golden gate to the right. The foreground showcases a jubilant red ant-like character with a small, round body and long, thin limbs, raising its hands in celebration. The ant exclaims, "H***AY! I'VE MADE IT TO HEAVEN!" while additional words within a speech bubble say, "AND PEOPLE SAID I'M A BAD FATHER."

The second panel retains the same sky-blue background with stars and the golden gates in the background. The first ant character now faces a slightly smaller ant wearing a blue beret and matching blue belt. This second ant, who appears happy and is smiling, greets the first ant with, "HI DAD!"

In the third panel, the focus is on the face of the larger ant, who now has a surprised and somewhat bewildered expression. The background remains consistent with the previous panels.

The fourth panel shows both ants walking toward the right side with the golden gate visible in the background. The larger ant, who is the dad, looks back with a speech bubble expressing disbelief, saying, "...THEY'RE JUST LETTING ANYONE IN, HUH?" Meanwhile, the smaller ant continues to walk happily beside his dad.

The comic concludes with a credit at the bottom-right corner, reading, "KING LOUIE'S LAB x War and Peas."

User comments have been varied, with some expressing confusion and others diving into deeper interpretations. One user commented, "So, his kid died too, same time he did?" while another said, "Wtf did he do as a father if his kid is already dead and in heaven?" Others added, "Love you too, Dad" and questioned the father's role in his son's death with comments like, "Did the kid kill himself after his father died? Did he die before his father? And if so did his father have anything to do with it?"

Some users attempted to explain the joke, suggesting that the punchline reveals the father as a jerk, noting his lack of sadness over his son's death. One user elaborated, "Pretty sure the joke is that he is such a bad father he didn't even know his son died. When he sees his son, he realizes he really is a bad father. The 'I guess they let anyone in' line is directed at himself, hence looking dejected."

This comic by King Louie's Lab and War and Peas has certainly succeeded in sparking conversation and debate, making it a memorable piece of dark humor that challenges the audience to think critically about its themes.

If his son is in heaven as well, does that mean he did something to him?

Man, the number of comments discussion what the joke actually is means this one needs to go back to the drawing board. FWIW, I thought the joke was that everyone called him a bad dad for his son dying young, and then he doubles down and insults the dead son.

The punchline reveals that the father is a jerk, but the fact that his son is dead too and he's not even sad about it is what proves he's a bad dad.
