An amusing email from a car salesman has taken the internet by storm, particularly on Reddit, where users are having a field day dissecting its content. The email, which humorously personifies a Nissan Z, paints a vivid picture of a car desperate for attention.

The email kicks off with a friendly greeting: "Hello," followed by a blacked-out name. The salesman writes, "I hope all is well your way! I do have to be honest, this pesky Z keeps asking for when you are going to come take a look at him. Every time I am on the lot he asks me when is (blacked out text) going to take him for a drive." The lighthearted tone continues with, "I have to explain to him that you are very busy and will come by when it is convenient for you, but he will not relent. So, can you please help me settle his little engine down and let me know when he can come see the inside of your garage?"

Reddit users quickly reacted to the email, with one user noting, "Oddly enough, I was at a Nissan dealer last week and asked the salesman if they were selling the Zs pretty fast. He got real with me and said, 'Hell no, we can't move any of them, and they just delivered 8 more on Tuesday for some reason', so this email seems to track for Nissan based on minimal knowledge on my end."

Another user humorously commented, "You gotta help old Gil," referencing a recurring character from "The Simpsons" known for his desperate sales pitches. There was also a more critical take: "I feel like the vibe is skirting around 'this car wants you to f*** it, why won't you come f*** it?'"

Despite the mixed reactions, the consensus was clear: the email is a memorable example of creative salesmanship. One user summed it up with, "The casual jocularity and easy-going tone of the message really put me at ease and made me want to purchase a car."

However, not all responses were positive. Some found the email cringe-worthy, with comments like, "I just assumed this was in r/cringepics wow," and "CRINGE." One user even shared a broader frustration with sales tactics, stating, "I grew up being assaulted by salesmen... I am not buying anything based on a sales pitch—I only seek out and buy things after researching them on my own. Am I alone or are other people in my generation (40ish) fed up with all sales pitches?"

The email concludes with the salesman signing off as "Coordinator," and a polite request for any further assistance the recipient might need. Whether one finds it endearing, cringey, or downright crazy, this email has certainly made its mark.

If there's one takeaway from this viral moment, it's that the art of salesmanship can take many forms, and sometimes, a touch of humor can go a long way in capturing attention—even if it doesn't always result in a sale.

I grew up with door to door salesmen ringing my familys door bell atleast once a week - and I would often be the one to answer.  We would also get salesmen calling our home phone every day. We ended up buying a prerecorded device that states take us off your call list, and I wouod hit that 9 out of 10 times. I grew up being assaulted by salesmen #F*** Off I am not buying anything based on a sales pitch - I only seek out and buy things after researching them on own.  Am I alone or are other people in my generation (40ish) fed up with all saled pitches?

If I am actually interested in the car and receive this email, I would definitely buy the car from him.
