A video titled "Pulling Yourself Over" has recently gone viral on Reddit, showcasing an unusual and humorous interaction between a driver and a police officer. The video captures a driver who decides to pull over even before the police officer has a chance to react, leading to a surprisingly amicable encounter.

In the video, the driver can be heard saying, "I'm just going to pull over right now, that cop is a p***y, I'm pulling over, I'm just going to pull over, what? I was just going fast and I just figured you'd get me, just watch your speed, thank you, dude, coolest cop ever!" This spontaneous decision to pull over preemptively results in a light-hearted exchange with the officer, who simply advises the driver to watch his speed before letting him go with a warning.

The Reddit community had a lot to say about this amusing incident. One user humorously imagined the cop's thoughts: "Well, now I’m not doing it." Another comment noted, "He probably got a good laugh at you pulling yourself over." The consensus among many commenters was that the driver’s quick reaction and honesty likely worked in his favor.

Several users shared their own similar experiences. One recounted, "I did the same thing once in high school. Had a WRX that I loved to rip around the windy roads of my hometown. I pulled over and waited for the cop. He kind of laughed and gave me a warning." Another user added, "Honestly if you reacted that quick and pulled over without him hitting lights he probably figured the heart attack you just had was as effective or more warning to obey law than any ticket he might write."

The video also sparked discussions about the behavior of police officers during such encounters. Some users believed the cop was simply on his way home and didn't want to deal with the hassle. One comment read, "That cop was 100% done with his day and did not feel like dealing with it." Another user humorously speculated, "Cops on his way home to get his 6r and do the same thing."

Interestingly, the video prompted a variety of responses about speeding and police interactions. One user shared, "I passed a speed trap going 80-85ish in a 70. I pulled over before he even left/turned his lights on. The cop liked my honesty and let me off with a warning." Another user pointed out, "It's because he is a sheriff. Their jurisdiction is the county and they don't usually do traffic stops."

The video continues to garner views and comments, with many appreciating the driver’s honesty and the cop's laid-back reaction. It serves as a humorous reminder that sometimes, owning up to one’s mistakes can lead to surprisingly positive outcomes.

I did the same thing once in highschool. Had a WRX that I loved to rip around the windy roads of my home town. I was leaving my girlfriend’s house very late at night and a cop was coming the other way. I didn’t even wait for the lights. I pulled over and waited for him and he came in hot with lights on but had to slam on the brakes when he saw I had already pulled over. He kind of laughed and asked why I was driving so fast I just said I liked the sound the car makes. Gave me a warning.
