An amusing handwritten note above a u*****’s flush valve has captured the attention and humor of Reddit users. The image, showing a close-up of a shiny metallic u***** flush valve with a playful note taped above it, has sparked various entertaining comments and reactions.

The note, scribbled on a piece of white paper and affixed to the white tiled wall with tape, reads: "URNAI HASN'T flushed for week's. Well, if you push the button with the hand and index finger graphic on it, it will flush. It's like a new Technology." The misspellings and mixed use of upper case, lower case, and cursive handwriting add to the charm and humor of the message.

Reddit user Week’s commented on the confusing design of the button, noting, "That button honestly looks so similar to an auto flush that I'm not surprised most people don't use it." Another user humorously pointed out the hygiene aspect, saying, "The u***** not flushing in weeks is the least of your concerns at that point. If the thing is not flushing and has weeks worth of pee, then no one is cleaning those bathrooms."

The discussion also included technical insights, with one user identifying the flush valve as a Sloan EBV-200-A Exposed sensor retrofit flusher and speculating that the battery might be dead. "The auto flush doesn’t seem to be working, which is the primary method of flushing. The button is a backup," explained another commenter, highlighting the note's purpose of alerting users to the need for a repair.

Amidst the humor, some users shared their own experiences with automatic bathroom fixtures. One user recounted a funny incident at a bar where they struggled with an auto towel dispenser before realizing they needed to push a bar to feed the towel manually.

Despite the light-hearted tone, the post also prompted a few practical suggestions. One user proposed a more hygienic solution, suggesting a pressure-sensitive plate that activates the flush when someone steps off it, or a foot actuated flusher.

The image and its accompanying note have not only provided a good laugh but also highlighted the importance of clear signage and proper maintenance in public restrooms. The humorous yet informative note serves as a reminder of the quirks and occasional frustrations associated with modern bathroom technology.

That looks like a Sloan EBV-200-A Exposed sensor u***** retrofit flusher. The have an automatic flush using an infrared sensor. Battery is probably dead and needs to be replaced.

Well… to be fair, the auto flush doesn’t seem to be working, which is the primary method of flushing. The button is a backup. The sign is alerting folks that a repair is needed. I imagine there is a facilities phone number or ticketing system to report these types of things, but then again who knows.

One time at a bar, after a few drinks, auto flush, I washed my hands, auto water, then was waving them under the papertowel dispenser, nothing. Waving again. Nothing. Repeat. I was just about to give up when I just pushed the bar to feed towel. Lol. F in mix and match bathroom.
