An intriguing Reddit video titled "Curious way to end a film" has sparked a lively discussion among users, delving into the peculiar ways some movies conclude. The video presents a unique ending that has left many viewers both puzzled and amused. The transcript of the video simply reads, "Now Playing... Thanks for watching please subscribe and hit that like button," which implies a rather abrupt end.

One user speculated, "Iirc they only ended it like this because the budget ran out," suggesting that financial constraints might have forced the filmmakers to wrap up the story unexpectedly. Another user remarked, "This is a classic Best of the Worst," referencing the popular YouTube series by RedLetterMedia that reviews low-budget and obscure films.

A particularly detailed comment recounted an experience with a film rented from a university library. The movie followed typical conspiracy tropes but ended in an anticlimactic fashion. The main character, after losing everything, is nursed back to health by Mexican landscapers and eventually becomes one himself, with no resolution to the conspiracy. The user later identified the movie as "The End of Violence" (1997) and shared a trailer link. They suspected they had only watched the first disc, which may have contributed to the disjointed experience.

The discussion also touched on the music choices in film endings. A user linked to the original ending music, expressing their preference for it and questioning why it was changed. Another user humorously requested, "Uhhhh send me out on that song please," highlighting the original music's nostalgic value.

One comment mentioned that Jack Avram, a long-time Reddit user, was banned after posting the thread, while another noted the amusingly fitting but unexpected music choice, "Unexpected Moonsorrow."

The Reddit thread also referenced a humorous review by RedLetterMedia, which many participants agreed was a must-watch for anyone interested in the quirks of low-budget cinema. One user pointed out, "Everyone must see RedLetterMedia's review of the movie because it's extremely humorous."

This engaging Reddit discussion highlights how a film's ending, whether due to budget constraints or creative choices, can leave a lasting impression on its audience. The varied reactions and shared experiences underscore the communal nature of movie-watching and the joy of dissecting film endings, no matter how curious they may be.

I once rented a film at the university library. It had your basic conspiracy movie tropes--the guy discovers some vast conspiracy, the bad guys take away the guy's job, his home, his wife, and leave him for dead. A group of Mexican landscapers nurse the guy back to health. He joins them, and even begins landscaping in his old neighborhood peeping at the wife that used to be his. And that's how it ended. There was no part 2. There was no triumphant battle against the conspiracy. There was no regaining his life. He just gave up and became a landscaper. It was total plot blue balls. What the hell? Edit: Found it. It's "[The End of Violence](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_End_of_Violence)" 1997 ([trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z69j6OTT5Vk)). I suspect the library had only given me disc 1 of the movie so that explains why I got only HALF the plot. Either that or the second half was so forgettable that I just blanked it out in my memory. Apparently the real ending is still unsatisfying. He still gives up.

There was nothing wrong with the gloriously awful original music.
