A recent Reddit video titled "Anyone know make and model? I’m looking to upgrade and thinking this could be it." has taken the internet by storm, sparking a wave of amusing comments and nostalgic memories. This video showcases a vehicle that has left viewers both puzzled and entertained, with many speculating about its make and model.

The car in question is believed to be a Chevrolet Chevette, a Brazilian model that harks back to the 1980s. One user confidently identified it, noting, "That is a Brazilian model: the Chevrolet Chevette, it is hard to know the exact year, but by looking at the design lines it is >= 1983." This insight dispels the confusion with other models like the Opel Ascona or the Toyota Tetanus, as suggested by other viewers.

The comments section is a treasure trove of humor and creativity. One user hilariously remarked, "This is the car equivalent of my underwear," while another painted a vivid picture by saying, "1974 Cadillac Fleetwood had a baby with a Subaru Brat, and that baby went on a meth bender." The comparison to iconic figures such as John Candy and Steve Martin adds another layer of humor, with one comment exclaiming, "It's John Candy and Steve Martin!!"

Pop culture references also made their way into the conversation. A user humorously connected the car to a scene from the movie Zoolander, stating, "You know that gas scene from Zoolander? This is the vehicle that survived." Another comment drew a comparison to Ricky from the TV show Trailer Park Boys, indicating, "This is some Ricky level s***."

The vehicle's condition did not escape scrutiny either. Comments like "Held together with rust," "When gas cost more than the actual car," and "This car is surviving on hopes and prayers" highlight its deteriorated state. Despite this, there is a strange affection for the car, with one user noting, "Radio still works and it's clear as a bell," and another jokingly saying, "Good luck with this😅."

Whether seen as a nostalgic relic or a source of endless amusement, this Chevrolet Chevette has certainly captured the hearts and imaginations of many. The video not only showcases a unique piece of automotive history but also provides a fun and engaging platform for viewers to share their thoughts and memories.

For anyone looking to upgrade their ride with a touch of humor and nostalgia, this Chevrolet Chevette might just be the perfect choice.

That is a Brazilian model: the Chevrolet Chevette, it is hard to know the exact year, but by looking at the design lines it is >= 1983. It is not the Opel Ascona, that model in Brazil is called the Chevrolet Monza, and commercially speaking was the middle offering for all old Chevrolet models, the Chevrolet Opala being the higher one.
