A recent Google review by local guide Alicia H. has sparked heated discussions about the declining quality of Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) in the triangle area, encompassing Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. The review, which has quickly gained traction, paints a grim picture of the restaurant's current state.

Alicia H., who has written 52 reviews and taken 42 photos, gave BWW a dismal 1-star rating. Her review, labeled as "NEW" and written about a week ago, describes a series of frustrating experiences. She recounts ordering takeout for dinner, spending over $100, only to face significant delays and poor service. According to Alicia, pick-up orders consistently take 30+ minutes, far exceeding the 15-minute limit for their designated parking spots.

One particularly infuriating incident involved a counter staff member who admitted they "had no idea" when her order would be ready, even after she had waited for over an hour. Alicia's review criticizes the restaurant for its "horrible and neglectful service," "barely mediocre food," and complete lack of customer awareness or apology. She concludes by urging others to avoid BWW, predicting a "generic and out-of-touch corporate response" that merely directs customers to fill out a survey.

Her words resonated with many, leading to a slew of comments from other users who shared similar sentiments. One commenter noted, "Buffalo Wild Wings has fallen so far since the late 2000s," while another added, "I stopped going to BWW. Which is the only time I've ever actually stopped going to a restaurant intentionally."

Other comments highlighted specific issues, such as the subpar quality of the food, the inefficient rewards program, and the forced use of a dysfunctional app for menus and payments. One user remarked, "Besides the bar end, I don’t understand how BWW is still a thing. It’s literally Tyson chicken nuggets with some mid a** sauce on them."

The review also prompted humorous misunderstandings, with one user commenting, "Bruh, I thought she was talking about a BMW," illustrating the level of dissatisfaction and confusion surrounding the brand.

Despite the widespread criticism, BWW's response was predictable. The owner replied, "Hey Alicia. We're sorry to hear you had a negative experience with one of our locations. Please fill out the form at the bottom of buffalowildwings.com/faq where it says 'Orders & Visits' and we will address with the team."

Alicia's review and the subsequent comments highlight a broader issue within the food service industry, with many echoing the sentiment that quality has sharply declined in recent years. Staffing issues, poor management, and inadequate responses to customer feedback seem to be common complaints.

Alicia H.'s review is a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining high standards in the food service industry. Buffalo Wild Wings, once a beloved spot for wings and sports, now faces an uphill battle to regain customer trust and satisfaction.

Stop going there then. Why do you keep going back if it’s so bad?

I stopped going to BWW. Which is the only time I've ever actually stopped going to a restaurant intentionally. The management, food, cleanliness, price, service. It all did a 180° to the point that I genuinely can't see it staying in business.

- worst rewards program. The app doesn't care about the QR code on the bill, you have to write your phone number on the back and they enter it manually. - they're trying to force menus and payment through the app. Again, the app doesn't have any idea what to do with the bill and the bill doesn't show up electronically. - If you want to pay cash or use a card that doesn't have NFC/tap, you have to walk with the server to the front of the store where they have a single "legacy" register. - They recently did something to the dry rubs and now they all taste like the same stuff with varying amounts of cayenne sprinkled in. - I could go on.

I have no idea whether this is the case here - but it is funny when someone complains about long waits, when those waits are caused by "too many people ordering". One time I was in a burger place at some tourist strip - and it that had like 30 million people in it at lunch. Some lady is complaining that her stuff is taking too long, and dude behind counter can't really hear her, because there's a huge crowd of people talking. Finally she yells her message across - "I'm never coming back here!", and dude just looks around at the mass of customers and says "OK". And you can kind of tell he means "OK, that would actually be great". Like the old Yogi Berra joke - "nobody goes there anymore, too crowded".
