Laundry is an inevitable chore, but a recent viral video on Reddit titled "Laundry" hilariously captures the common struggle many face with this mundane task. The video's catchy transcript humorously outlines the typical timeline for handling laundry: "Don't dream, 10 minutes, washing, 40 minutes, drying, 60 minutes, putting away, 7 to 10 business days." The repetition of "7 to 10 business days" drives home the point that putting away clean clothes often becomes an extended ordeal.

The video has struck a chord with viewers, as evidenced by the relatable comments it has garnered. One user confessed, "I feel attacked," while another admitted, "Literally watching this while laying on my bed, immediately next to said clean clothes." The struggle to move laundry from the washer to the dryer is all too real, as another commenter shared, "Well this reminded me that I was supposed to take my clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer before leaving for work."

The humor in the video resonates deeply, with one user saying, "haha this is so accurate," and another jokingly questioning, "7-10 business days?! What's the rush?" The video also prompted some users to share their laundry habits. One viewer combats the delay by folding clothes as they come out of the dryer but admits, "This is only half the battle though, as I’ll spend the next week with a laundry basket full of clean folded clothes and all my dirty clothes are on the floor."

Some users have found ways to extend the laundry cycle to fit their needs. One commenter revealed, "With enough clothes in rotation, I can stretch the laundry cycle to 4 weeks, at which point the limitation is the max load weight of the washing machine." Another user humorously linked their laundry habits to their relationship status, saying, "Thinking of it, maybe that's why I am single."

The video has also sparked discussions about laundry quirks, such as a user who shared, "Watching this while sitting across from a pile of folded laundry that's been on my desk for a week," and another who proudly stated, "Couldn’t be me. I hate wrinkles." The use of "business days" as a measurement was a hit, with one commenter saying, "Using business days as the measurement brings this joke to a 10."

The video even touched on pet ownership, as one user humorously noted, "She forgot about the bit at the end of 20 business days when you need to face the fact that your cat has commandeered the basket to sleep in for the last week and it all goes back in the washing machine after a mass de-fuzzing event."

This comedic take on laundry procrastination has clearly resonated with many, making it a must-watch for anyone who has ever struggled to keep up with this never-ending chore. For those looking for a good laugh and a reminder that they are not alone in their laundry battles, this Reddit video is sure to deliver.

I combat this by folding as I take each individual article out of the dryer. This is only half the battle though, as I’ll spend the next week with a laundry basket full of clean folded clothes and all my dirty clothes are on the floor 🙃
