A recent video posted on Reddit titled "I have a feeling it’s not wired correctly…(Epilepsy Warning)" has taken the internet by storm. The video showcases a surprising and humorous electrical wiring misstep that turns a simple light switch and outlet setup into an unintended disco light show, potentially hazardous to those with epilepsy.

In the video, the user explains, "My supervisor called himself wanting to run an outlet from this light switch here and so... See here, it doesn't work. But I notice when I turn the light off, it works, but it also turns it into a disco. Epilepsy warning. I guess I was a little too late."

The video quickly garnered a lot of attention and sparked a lively discussion among viewers. One user pointed out the technical flaw stating, "It's in series, not parallel." This comment alludes to the improper wiring configuration that causes the light and outlet to function incorrectly.

Another humorous comment mimicked a dialogue between an old owner and an electrician: "Old owner to electrician: 'You know those outlets that only work if your light switch is on? I almost want that but backwards.' Electrician: 'Hold my beer.'" This playful exchange highlights the absurdity of the wiring situation.

An insightful user chimed in with a solution, "Line into the light switch needs junction to the outlet below so it doesn’t go into the light switch. Right now it's going from the switch to the outlet in some way. Needs a split junction prior to switch." This technical advice provides a practical fix for the wiring issue, which could prevent the light from turning into a disco when switched off.

Despite the educational aspect of the video, not all viewers were able to enjoy it. One user lamented, "Too bad Reddit video players s*** so bad that I can't get the video to play......"

Adding a humorous twist, another user suggested, "Now fix it by allowing the light to be turned on when you have something plugged into the outlet. lol"

This video serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of proper electrical wiring and the potential mishaps that can occur from DIY attempts. It also provides a good laugh and a reminder to always consult a professional electrician for such tasks.
