A viral video on Reddit hilariously unveils the real-life struggle behind why Call of Duty (COD) characters run so slow. The video features a soldier carrying an M240 machine gun, emphasizing the physical challenge of maneuvering with such heavy artillery. The soldier, visibly exhausted, exclaims, "I never get mad at them Call of Duty n****s for running slow with this big motherf***er ever again."

In the comments section, users added their own humorous observations and insights. One user noted, "The gun says, 'Hong hong!!'" capturing the chaotic humor of the moment. Another user provided some context, explaining that an M240 can weigh around 27-30 lbs on its own, with a 200 round belt adding an additional 13 lbs. This means the gunner could be hauling up to 45 lbs, not to mention extra belts and gear, through challenging terrains for extended periods.

The video also sparked comparisons to video games and pop culture. One user joked, "At least they don't have malaria like in Far Cry 2. Not only can you barely run, but your eyes also get covered in Vaseline like in Shallow Hal." Another comment humorously suggested, "Try pressing the thumbstick down like a button to make him sprint," poking fun at the simplicity of video game mechanics compared to real-life scenarios.

Other users shared their own military experiences, with one reminiscing, "I swear to god some of the funniest moments of my life have been while in some s***ty military exercise where everyone’s hot and exhausted and working extreme hours bored to death. Good times." Another comment highlighted the stark difference between gaming and actual military life: "Always funny how young people always underestimate joining the army, until they arrive the first week😂."

One user humorously pointed out the impracticality of trying to run while shooting such a heavy machine gun, stating, "I saw a video when someone tried to run forward while shooting a machine gun like the one in the video. Turns out, not as easy as in video games."

The video also drew attention to the camaraderie and light-hearted moments shared among soldiers. Comments like "flagging *all* the homies there" and "Private Windex working the camera for this one" added to the overall amusement.

In the end, the video serves as a comedic yet enlightening reminder of the physical demands faced by soldiers, far removed from the virtual experiences of Call of Duty players. The mix of humor and realism makes it a must-watch for both gamers and military enthusiasts alike.

A 240 is heavy AF to have to carry with all else, part of why it’s a 2-3 man team for one gun.    Edit since this is still getting attention, 240 on its own is about 27-30lbs. A 200 round belt is like 13lbs so right off the bat the gunner has like 40-45lbs he has to carry around. Probably has 1-3 extra belts on himself too. Do this through the woods or desert doing how ever many kilometers a day, for 3-14 days straight and you’ll feel it lol.
