In a recently surfaced video on Reddit titled "Do better, Bobby," the legendary comedian Don Rickles once again shows why he is revered as the master of insult comedy. The video showcases Rickles in his element, delivering a no-holds-barred critique of Bobby’s method acting. "Did I say something wrong? You're supposed to say, I should have known better. I'm sorry. For the kind of money you're making, read the card. Learn the thing, you got a pop-up trailer. Sit in there and study. With your method acting, with the breathing, with the motion. Do the lines and let's get out of here," Rickles quips, leaving everyone in stitches.

This video has ignited a wave of nostalgia and admiration among fans. A user reminisced, "What I always loved about Don Rickles was he wasn’t afraid to go after anyone. Those clips of him on The Tonight Show tearing into Frank Sinatra are entertaining." Another enthusiast declared, "Welp, time to watch Casino again," while others lauded Rickles for his unique brand of humor, with comments like, "Nobody can bust balls like Don Rickles" and "Rickles was a god."

One story that stands out involves Rickles and Sinatra. According to a fan, Rickles once asked Sinatra to come over to his table to impress his date. When Sinatra obliged, Rickles humorously brushed him off by saying, “Don, I’m on a date here, can you not bother us right now?” This anecdote perfectly encapsulates Rickles' unparalleled comedic genius.

Another noteworthy mention was from a chef who worked for a catering company in the 80s. "He and Barbara, and the Newharts were steady clients. Such incredibly nice people, and absolute comedy royalty. It was so wonderful to be around them. He always seemed to be on," the chef fondly recalled.

Rickles' ability to make even the most stoic personalities laugh is evident in the video, with another comment highlighting, "Only Rickles could tear into DeNiro and still have DeNiro laugh about it." The laughter of Martin Scorsese in the background adds to the charm, with a fan noting, "...and Scorsese laughing in the background!"

This video is a testament to Don Rickles' timeless appeal and his extraordinary talent for making people laugh, even in the most unexpected situations. For those craving more, one user requested, "Wouldn’t be angry if some kind soul shared a few more Casino outtakes in this thread."

Relive the magic of Don Rickles and witness the comedic brilliance that made him a legend.

I remember a story about Rickles and Sinatra: Rickles begged Sinatra to come say hello to him at a restaurant so he could impress the woman he was taking to dinner. So Sinatra obliged and comes over and introduces himself to them. Rickles responds by saying “Don, I’m on a date here, can you not bother us right now?” He was great

I believe it was in the Scorsese AFI tribute, it’s on YT, that he had one of his best lines, “he is one of the greatest actors of his generation, ask him he’ll tell you. “
