In a recent comedy show, an amusing interaction between two friends who met on Reddit captured the audience's attention. The conversation began with a casual inquiry, "What brought you to Paris?" to which one responded, "I'm a banker." This prompted a series of humorous exchanges, with the comedian initially assuming the audience would dismiss the profession, but instead, they were intrigued.

The highlight of the show was the revelation of how the friends met. When asked if they were together, they clarified they were just friends and had connected through Reddit, specifically the subreddit for Paris. The comedian, curious about what sparked their interaction, humorously recounted their connection over posts like "Best glory holes in Paris" and "expats finding employment."

The friends shared that they had hung out once before, simply walking around the city at eight. Now, they found themselves at a comedy show, enjoying what they humorously dubbed a "not a date." Both single, they embraced the platonic nature of their outings, emphasizing their professional relationship and different backgrounds.

When asked about their favorite thing in Paris, their responses were quintessentially Parisian. One loved "getting distracted by the city," while the other appreciated the practicality of the metro. The comedian's playful banter about these answers only added to the charm of the interaction.

The Reddit community reacted with enthusiasm and curiosity. Some users wondered if the two were secretly on a date, while others expressed surprise at the possibility of making real-life friends through the platform. Comments ranged from humorous takes on the Paris metro to personal anecdotes about meeting significant others on social media.

For those intrigued by this silly encounter, more clips from the comedian, Joey Avery, can be found on his subreddit r/JoeyAvery and his YouTube channel.

This comedic exchange highlights the unexpected connections that can be made through platforms like Reddit, proving that even in a bustling city like Paris, laughter and friendship can be found in the most unexpected places.

On my way to see if my city's subreddit has a best glory hole thread. BRB....

Very confused by all the people saying "nice", "made me laugh" and "super good" I'm not saying they are *all* bots... But wouldn't something like "I love the way he joked about being distracted by the city is the most Parisian thing" make it *seem* like it's not just bots trying to get this middling comedian attention (no offense OP, I'm not saying you're bad just that you *seem* trying to draw attention to yourself in an inorganic way). Not to mention the 12 upvotes on op's top comment directly mirrors the guy at the bottom with -11 upvotes... Which this early into a post is a bit suspicious. Again, not an allegation, just that something *feels* artificial about this post.
