An image circulating on Reddit has garnered significant attention, showcasing a "Microwave Oven Safety" notice posted in an office break room. The document, titled "Microwave Oven Safety", has left many online users in stitches due to its detailed and seemingly exaggerated safety guidelines.

The printed document, attached to a wall with clear pushpins, outlines strict rules for using the Kenmore Model 405.73169310 Microwave Oven. According to the notice, employees must read and comprehend the entire Use and Care Guide and complete a safety and operations training before being allowed to use the microwave. Those who haven't completed the training are only permitted to observe trained employees heating "questionable food items".

Below the main body text, the document features an empty table intended to list approved microwave users, including columns for names, training dates, training expiration, trainers, witnesses, and notaries. The table's emptiness adds to the humor, suggesting perhaps no one has yet been deemed competent to use the appliance.

A particularly amusing note at the bottom of the notice bans several items from the microwave, including metal cutlery, lightbulbs, carbon fiber airframe components, small microwave ovens, and FCBA reflow, humorously redirecting the latter to the toaster oven.

Reddit users have chimed in with their own comedic experiences and comments:

- One user joked, "Well, I guess you won't be microwaving your smaller microwave today."

- Another commented on the perennial office issue: "There is nothing there about not incinerating bags of popcorn - a serious offense in most offices."

- Highlighting office humor, a user quipped, "If employees could complete their TPS reports before using the microwave, that‘d be great."

- Sharing a personal anecdote, a user recalled, "Had a coworker who used to put his pot noodle in the microwave without water. Next thing you know the microwave is belching thick smoke. Our manager started freaking out, ready to evacuate the whole building and let the kitchen burn down. Instead I grabbed the microwave and evacuated it out the back door and dumped water into it. Then he did it again."

Another comment linked to the Kenmore Model 405.73162310 User Guide for further reference, underlining the detailed approach taken by the office to ensure microwave safety.

Overall, this humorous yet practical notice serves as a lighthearted reminder of the often overlooked, yet important, workplace safety protocols. It underscores the fact that where there are signs, there are usually stories behind them, often filled with amusing and cautionary tales of past mishaps.

Well you'll get what you deserve .. I am working in a big company and I am there in the volunteer fire department. The biggest alerts we had so far was always because of our microwaves. People put stuff in it and set the timer to max. Then they moved away....

Now what will employees do with their lightbulbs?
