In a encouraging and amusing moment captured on May 19, 2017, 9-year-old Chaim Brikman of Crown Heights made a memorable appearance at a local 7-Eleven during their 'Bring Your Own Cup Day'. The image, which quickly became the "Picture of the Day," showcases young Chaim holding an enormous 4-gallon plastic container filled with a colorful slush drink that boasts vibrant red, blue, and white layers.

Chaim, sporting a green t-shirt and round-framed glasses, beams with joy as he wraps his right arm securely around his oversized slushy. The convenience store's interior buzzes with activity, with shelves stocked full of bread, snacks, and various other products visible in the background. Other customers can be seen going about their business, adding to the lively atmosphere of the scene.

While the picture has elicited a range of reactions, it has also sparked a wave of nostalgia and humor among viewers. One commenter reminisced about a similar experience, sharing, "Some slushy stand was going out of business and we were allowed to bring home a cooler packed with the stuff for free. My sister immediately puked into the cooler. That was 25 years ago and I've never let it go."

Others praised Chaim's bold move, with one user exclaiming, "Way to stick it to the corpo there, kid!" However, not all reactions were positive, with some pointing out the potential wastefulness, "And now the machine is totally empty and no one else gets to enjoy it from that location for several hours. Not only is he not going to drink even a fraction of that, but it'll all melt and be poured down the drain."

Despite the mixed reactions, Chaim's joyful expression and the sheer audacity of bringing a 4-gallon container to fill with slush have left an indelible mark on many. Comments ranged from humorous observations like "Speed running diabeetus" to practical suggestions such as, "Guess the kid could pour some out and make popsicles or something."

The incident also sparked discussions on the practicality and spirit of 'Bring Your Own Cup Day,' with some people suggesting that bringing an oversized container might not align with the event's original intent. One user humorously shared their experience, "My favourite thing about bring your own cup day was having to tell people no, you cannot use the F***ING BLEACH BOTTLE."

Chaim Brikman's memorable slushy adventure at 7-Eleven serves as a delightful reminder of the joys and occasional controversies that come with special promotional events. Whether viewed as an act of youthful exuberance or a cautionary tale of excess, Chaim's story continues to resonate with people, making it a timeless piece of internet lore.

I'm old, and all I want is to have a few more experiences in my life that will put this kid's expression on my face.

On one hand, way to stick it to the corpo there kid! On the other hand he should have just brought a milk jug as it's going to melt and likely have a large portion go to waste. Guess the kid could pour some out and make popsicles or something, but it's not like he has a machine at home to keep it as a slushy.
